Job Description This is a full-time union position with a 48-hr schedule and a generous benefits package that includes paid vacation and holidays, best-in-class medical/dental/life insurance benefits. Employees will have a regular M-F schedule and be home each night with their family. We require at least a Class B CDL. (Air brake endorsement and/or Class A CDL preferred.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Be able to fill in for or assist route drivers on an as-needed basis, • Build palletized loads from computer-generated load sheets, • Maintain warehouse product freshness and rotation, including staging the picking area and the proper disposal of out of code product, • Unload shipments of beer from suppliers and properly store in warehouse, • Conduct physical inventory counts on a regular basis, • Properly repack product according to supplier standards, • Maintain proper records for product removed from inventory, • Make sure the loaded product meets supplier standards, • Make call-in deliveries and complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, cash and checks in appropriate timeframe, • Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner, • Collect payment as necessary when making deliveriesPAY AND BENEFITS, • Relief driver/warehouse pay starts at $898/week with overtime, commission and other incentives available., • Best-in-class low-deductible insurance package covers employee's full employee cost of medical, dental and basic life insurance with an additional stipend for dependent coverage., • Vision, Short-Term Disability, Accident, and Critical Illness coverage are available through a cafeteria plan., • Paid vacation, • Paid holidays, • 401k with matching (after one year), • Company-funded pension (after two years) FMCSA fine print The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49 CFR 391.21) require that all applicants wishing to drive a commercial vehicle list all employment for the last three (3) years. In addition, if you have driven a commercial vehicle previously, you must provide employment history for an additional seven (7) years (for a total of ten (10) years). Any gaps in employment in excess of one (1) month must be explained.
