Job DescriptionDescription: The Manager of Enterprise Applications is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the institution's enterprise application systems, including design, implementation, support, and maintenance. The position engages with academic, administrative, and student services stakeholders to understand their needs and align their use of business applications with the capacity and integrity of the technology infrastructure. The position provides site management with analysis and recommendations to improve and expand system integration, application features, and performance. The position works closely with the CIO to establish the focus and vision for technology growth in student-centric services, staying current with the latest applications that enhance student engagement and support. Responsibilities: Oversee the management and ongoing implementation of the institution's enterprise management systems, including supervision, training, and evaluation of support staff. • Develop strategic and tactical plans for administrative technology initiatives in the form of comprehensive project plans and assume responsibility for their execution in collaboration with senior leadership, IT staff, and administrative and academic stakeholders., • Provide analysis and recommendations to improve and expand applications, system integration, and performance., • Develop an excellent understanding of institutional process needs as they span or interact with the specific viewpoints of individual administrative and academic departments, ensuring that solutions maximize system improvements for the institution., • Maintain and manage regular interactions with all administrative and academic departments to ensure the best support for the institution's work, serving as the liaison between functional users and technical support staff for administrative systems., • Stay current on product availability to meet institutional needs and propose new initiatives to meet identified needs., • Collaboratively develop and implement a change management framework for application deployment, upgrades, and updates, including user acceptance testing., • Organize and train user groups, design project teams, and coordinate the efforts of administrative and computing departments, consultants, vendors, and other groups to meet the institution's goals for utilizing administrative systems., • Develop needs analyses of potential projects, identify possible solutions and vendors, create requests for proposals, coordinate the evaluation of proposals, and facilitate decisions., • Regularly communicate status updates to IT leadership and stakeholders., • Maintain a high understanding of CRM software, Mobile Apps, and Cloud-based Applications. Provide support for the following: • Manage the administration, configuration, and lifecycle of enterprise systems (SIS, LMS, CRM, finance, HR)., • Resolve escalated application issues beyond frontline or mid-tier support., • Integrate and sync data across systems via APIs, automation, and file transfers., • Maintain scheduled jobs, workflows, and scripts for business process continuity., • Monitor performance, logs, and errors to prevent or resolve disruptions., • Coordinate patches, upgrades, and new features with vendors and IT staff., • Manage user roles and permissions to ensure secure system access., • Document user process, system architecture, configuration changes, and data flows., • Create reports and dashboards using built-in or third-party tools., • Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting., • Support data reporting tools and train users on dashboards or query tools., • Assist with vendor relations, contracts, and service-level agreements., • Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements, testing, and implementation., • Enforcement and support of change management processes related to enterprise applications., • 5+ years of experience in enterprise application support or IT project management, preferably in higher education., • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field., • Experience supervising or leading technical teams., • Experience with ERP, CRM, or SIS systems (e.g., Ellucian, Jenzabar, Workday)., • Knowledge of data integration techniques and enterprise reporting tools., • 3 years of experience managing or supporting enterprise systems., • Associate’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience., • Strong understanding of business process analysis and enterprise software platforms., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across departments. This position requires strategic collaboration with college leadership, administrative and academic departments, IT staff, and external vendors. The Manager of Enterprise Applications serves as a key liaison between technical teams and functional stakeholders, ensuring that enterprise systems support institutional goals effectively and efficiently.
