American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CVICU, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/01/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) managing patients with cardiovascular disease, pre/post Cath Lab and IR procedures, and fresh open heart surgery, • Patient diagnoses include CABG, OHS, AAA, valvular repairs, and post-procedural care, • Special procedures include IABP, Impella, VAD's, pacemakers, epicardial pacer management, CRRT/dialysis, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and ECMO, • Use of specialized equipment including vasopressors and Maquet Datascope for balloon procedures, • Requires floating between facilities within the state as needed, • Uses Epic EMR; prior experience is preferred, • Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30, • Staffing ratios are typically 1:1-2, • Responsible for advanced cardiovascular and post-surgical critical care, including use of specialized equipment and protocols such as ECMO, CRRT, and hypothermia protocol, • Will work in a unit with relatively unseasoned staff, so strong clinical skills and autonomy are essential, • Travelers may be required to float between all Providence facilities in the state as assignment needs arise, • 3-day orientation provided; certain competencies will be validated, • Navy blue scrubs are required, • First time travelers with strong intensive CVICU experience are welcome to apply, • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are generally ineligible unless otherwise specified, • Returning staff must have been separated from any Providence Swedish facility for at least 3 months to be eligible\n \n Requirements\n, • Active WA or compact RN license required prior to consideration, • Minimum 2.5 years of CVICU experience with current experience within the last 6 months, • ACLS, BCLS, and CRRT Prismaflex certifications required, • Strong cardiac surgical experience, including IABP and fresh open heart care, is required, • Experience with cardiac monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, sheath removal, and advanced IV therapy required, • Experience using hemodynamic monitoring devices and ventilator management required, • Epic EMR experience preferred, • Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years for compliance\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
