Job Description Job Posting: Shift Leader Job Title: Shift Leader Location: Hounds Town Centennial Hills (Las Vegas, NV) Position Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 12:30 PM (Full availability required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays) Compensation: $15–$17 per hour (depending on experience) Attention all dog lovers! We're growing our pack and seeking a passionate, reliable Shift Leader to oversee morning operations and lead our team of K9 Attendants. About the Role As a Shift Leader, you'll be the key to smooth morning operations, supervising playgroups, supporting your team, prioritizing dog safety and welfare, maintaining a spotless facility, providing top-notch customer service, and helping showcase our happy pups on social media. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and lead a team of K9 Attendants, delegating tasks, keeping staff on track, providing guidance, and communicating performance or issues to management, • Group and monitor dog playgroups based on size, temperament, and play style to ensure safe, fun, and positive interactions, • Prioritize dog safety and welfare by observing behavior, addressing any aggression or concerns appropriately, and creating a low-stress environment, • Handle front-of-house customer service: greet clients, check pets in and out, answer phones and inquiries, resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism, and build trust and loyalty with pet owners, • Administer medications to dogs as directed by owners, • Assist with facility maintenance and cleaning protocols (including cleaning up after dogs) to keep the environment safe, hygienic, and welcoming, • Provide plenty of love, attention, and enrichment to our furry guests, • Oversee operational workflows, coordinating between front-of-house and back-of-house teams, • Promote exceptional client experiences through clear communication about services, pricing, pet updates, and issue resolution to drive retention, positive reviews, and business growth, • Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation, • Passion for dogs and commitment to their care and safety—experience in dog daycare, kennel, veterinary, or pet care settings is a strong plus, • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred, • Ability to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels, • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently and as part of a team, • Highly organized, punctual, reliable, and proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS systems), • Experience with social media platforms and creating engaging content is a plus, • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle the demands of a fast-paced, active environment (including cleaning tasks), • Competitive pay ($15–$17/hour), • Fun, supportive, and energetic team culture, • Opportunities for growth and advancement within a growing company We can't wait to meet you—apply today!
