Job Description • Design and develop business solutions within Dynamics Business Central using Visual Studio Code and the AL coding language., • Implement and configure the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central system to meet the specific needs of the organization., • Work closely with clients to understand their business processes, requirements and key objectives., • Document detailed design and technical specifications to set the stage for solid delivery., • Provide integration development to external systems and provide development support services for the systems we have deployed (AppSource), • Assist with Data Migration, • Adhere to the design and implementation of development best practices., • Troubleshooting for reported issues of products and development, • Create client facing development estimates., • Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live project team support., • Collaborate with business and technical team members to integrate the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central system with other systems and applications., • Customize and develop new functionality to meet the evolving needs of the organization, • Stay current on the latest developments in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, and related technologies., • Improve operational efficiency and contribute to the achievement of the development organization’s goals, • Contribute to development processes, guidelines, standards, and best practices, • Provide technical support to various teams as requested, including but not limited to the Software Quality Assurance, Technical Writing, Support, and Consulting teams, • Accurately estimate work effort to complete tasks, • Execute tasks following an agile development methodology, • Construct and unit test features consistent with development standards, • Maintain source code in the common source code repository according to established guidelines, • Accurately estimate scope, design, fix, and unit test problem reports for service packs or other maintenance releases, • Recommend entity and data model designs, as required, • Develop data conversions for upgrades, as required, • Provide assistance to others across functional areas and mentor others, providing direction and suggestions, as needed, • Design, model, develop, test and write automated tests of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functionalities based on company-specific requirements, • Conduct project code reviews to ensure a high standard of product development and adherence to standards, • Participate in the technical designs developed for our clients, • Follow new and emerging technologies, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and system administrators, • Solicit feedback to and from your peers, including other product designers and teammates in your product team, • Work in close collaboration with company leadership to inform and improve our platform and processes, • Participate in discovery meetings with the client to understand current business processes that need to be incorporated into D365, • Work with the client to understand legacy data components and identify the appropriate location for such data in D365. Document mapping of that data for conversion by technical staff, • Validation of business practices and processes in Dynamics based on discovery analysis, • Conducting GAP analysis to determine the difference between application and business processes, • Identify creative solutions for processes that aren’t fully accomplished by standard D365, • Develop and deliver presentations to customers by outlining findings and recommendations to guide the implementation of the identified solution, • Translate functional business objectives and critical success factors into functional documents, • Configure application as appropriate to conform to business process definition, • Train users in a hands-on methodology and develop training documentation, • Provide on-going support to end users, assisting with trouble shooting or additional training via email, phone or site visits, • Maintain and expand client relationships through delivery of high-quality services, • Advanced level of experience in warehouse and or retail industry, • Assess and incorporate new technologies and software into their skillset, • skills (planning, data conversion, module setups, training, project management, reporting), • Recognize and incorporate client needs at a worker level, • Communicating project status and project risks to all parties, internal and external, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure (conscientious), • Problem-solving and project execution. Good time management, well organised, consistently meeting commitments and creating high level deliverables.
