American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Trauma ICU for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Trauma ICU, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in a Level II Trauma Center Trauma ICU with a diverse patient population including neuro and medical cases, • Responsible for 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, • Shift is 3x12 hour nights, 19:00–07:30, • Coverage may include weekends based on unit needs, • No on-call requirements, • Staff may float between CVICU, NTICU, Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, surgical, ortho/med), Observation, and ED boarding as needed, • Epic EMR charting is required, • Unit uses advanced equipment such as PA catheters, Impella devices, ventilators, CRRT, IABP, and Arctic Sun cooling pads, • Manage complex trauma, neuro, and medical critical care populations, • Perform advanced procedures such as arterial line management, PICC line care, ventilator management, and emergency interventions, • Participate in support roles for Code and Massive Transfusion Teams and assist with post-cardiac arrest cooling protocol, • Use of full PPE for infection prevention and isolation precautions is expected, • Assignment includes care for both non-traumatic and traumatic brain injuries as well as medical and post-procedural critical care, • Flexible scheduling is expected to accommodate unit needs, including potential holiday coverage, • Scrubs of any color are permitted, • Candidates must have separated from previous employment at the health system for at least one year to be eligible\n \n Requirements\n, • Active OR RN license required, • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be in hand before start, • TNCC/TCAR, CCRN, CSC, SCRN, and TCRN certifications are preferred, • Minimum 2 years of Trauma ICU experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 1 year in a large facility, • Recent Epic EMR experience required, • Demonstrated experience in trauma, neuro, and multi-system critical care, including management of dysrhythmias, multi-organ failure, ventilators, and advanced cardiac drips, • All required certifications must be active at the time of consideration, • COVID vaccination required, • No local candidates accepted (must reside outside 60-mile radius)\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
