Job DescriptionRegistered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Specialty: MS/Telemetry Shift: Nights – 4x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Duration: 13 Weeks Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Scrubs: Navy Blue / White Position Overview Seeking an experienced MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a high-acuity medical-surgical telemetry unit. The RN must be comfortable managing cardiac patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, and caring for medically complex cases in a fast-paced environment. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient Population Common diagnoses include: * Cardiac disease * Stroke * Infection * Pulmonary embolism (PE) * Pain management cases Nurse-to-Patient Ratios * Days/Eves: 1:5 (may stretch to 6–7) * Nights: 1:6–7 (may stretch to 8–10 if short staffed) Support Staff Available: * Patient Care Technicians (vitals, blood glucose, EKGs, ADLs) * In-house phlebotomy team (peripheral lab draws) * Nursing responsible for PICC lines and central lines Required Skills & Work Settings * MS/Telemetry experience required * BLS certification required * Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias * Rapid Response Team participation * Peripheral line care/management * Oxygen delivery systems: * Nasal cannula * Oxygen face masks * Portable oxygen tanks * Non-invasive airway management * Isolation precautions Special Equipment * Bladder scanners * Telemetry monitors * EKG machines * Lifepak monitors Floating Requirements Must be willing to float to: * Medical-Surgical units * Emergency Department * ICU (stable patients only) * Acute brain injury unit (stable patients only) Requirements * Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience * Active RN license (pending license not accepted) * Every other weekend required * EPIC experience preferred * RTO limited to approximately one week For more details reach at or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807.
