Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator Pay Type: Hourly FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt Reports to: Logistics Manager Location: Rochester, NY – LEE Salary Range: $22 - $25 per hour (Plus B-Shift Shift Differential) Shift: B (3:00pm - 11:30pm - preferred) Summary/Objective: The responsibility of the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is to support the Logistics Manager to ensure the Shipping & Receiving department is efficiently and accurately delivering product to Flower City Group customers in a timely fashion by performing tasks listed below. Essential Functions: • Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments, • Inspect materials for accuracy and quality before stocking or shipping, • Maintain inventory records using ERP system, • Label, package, and prepare products for shipment, • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment when required, • Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal staff to resolve shipment issues, • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits Competencies: • Proficiency with inventory management systems and barcode scanners, • Knowledge of shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, DHL), • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel, • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment, • Attention to detail and accuracy, • Strong organizational and time management skills, • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day., • Frequently required to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs., • Occasionally required to push and/or pull up to 100 lbs., • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb., • Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, and perform repetitive motion., • Required to see color and use depth perception. Requirement/Qualifications: • 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics role, • Familiarity with ERP systems or warehouse management software, • Experience handling freight, e-commerce fulfillment, or international shipping Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required, • OSHA safety training preferred, • A two-year degree or equivalent from a technical school preferred, • Two (2) years of work experience preferred AAP/EEO Statement Flower City Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
