Overview The Account Representative is responsible for providing sales support at the direction of the Producer or Account Executive. This includes assisting in selling and marketing in coordination with all Agency personnel involved in new or existing business (this is not a direct sales role). In addition, the Account Representative provides customer service by handling the day to day operations of clients' insurance needs. The Account Representative will work with the Producer and Account Executive to design and recommend proper insurance and risk management services to clients. The Ideal Candidate • You have a customer service mentality and are able to communicate and problem solve for internal and external stakeholders, • Taking initiative to get work done is just how you operate How you'll make an impact • Responds to client requests for policy changes, billing inquiries and verification of coverage. Ensures that these items are given to client in a timely manner., • Maintains follow-up and suspense files on outstanding orders, correspondence, claims, and renewal expirations. Completes overdue and suspense items., • Secures documentation needed to be retained by the agency including signed applications, replacement cost estimates, rejection of coverage and confirmation of orders., • Develops complete client information and applications for new and renewal business. Markets to insurance carriers and prepares proposals. Compares coverage forms with review by Account Executive if needed., • Prepares Renewal Questionnaire for clients including follow up on responses received., • Reconciles accounting discrepancies. Follows up on aged trial balances. Involves Producer when necessary., • Secures Lost Policy Releases and follows through to policy cancellation., • Other duties as assigned., • Travel is expected to be 10% in this role. Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. About You Required: • High school diploma required. Minimum of 1 year related experience required., • Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled. Able to operate a computer; knowledge of MS Office applications, and related claims and business software., • Knowledge of claims investigation and settlement procedures and applicable state laws and industry standards required., • Solid analytical skills necessary to make decisions and resolve issues inherent in handling claims., • Able to plan and organize activities and workload and respond to multiple demands. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
