Position Title: VICE PRESIDENT / SENIOR DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION Reports To: Executive Leadership / Managing Director of Development Position Overview: The Vice President / Senior Director of Construction will oversee all aspects of design, development, and construction for a large-scale ($300MM+), complex mixed-use development project in New York City. Since 2016, Correctional Health Services (CHS) has been the direct provider of health care in the New York City jails. Deeply committed to human dignity and patient rights, CHS is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals system and is a key partner in the City’s efforts to reform the criminal-legal system. Our in-jail clinical services include medical, nursing, and mental health care; pharmacy services; substance-use treatment; social work; dental and vision care; discharge planning; and reentry support. Given the high visibility of this initiative, we are seeking the highest caliber health care professionals in key clinical services to staff our Outposted Therapeutic Housing Units (OTxHU). To be located in three NYC Health + Hospital acute care facilities, the OTxHU is a pioneering approach to safely increasing access to high quality clinical care for patients in custody who have complicated health conditions. OTxHUs will bridge the gap in the continuum between care provided in the jails and inpatient hospitalization, with admission to and discharge from the OTxHU in accordance with a patient’s clinical needs. CHS will be the primary health care providers on these units and the NYC Department of Correction will provide security and custody management. The OTxHU at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in Manhattan will be the first of this unique, groundbreaking project to open with a planned completion date as early as the end of 2024. Under general supervision of the Medical Director, the Senior Psychiatrist is the psychiatric leader of the facility or program and works in close collaboration with other discipline leadership to ensure that safe, holistic, and evidence-based psychiatric care is provided to incarcerated patients with varying levels of mental health needs. A team-based approach to care is critical; one that incorporates all relevant mental health and medical disciplines as well as security staff. A major component of this position will be training, recruiting and retaining high quality staff and providing strong clinical support and oversight, leadership and mentorship for existing staff. Responsibilities • Develops workflows, policies and quality metrics for their dedicated area in close coordination with the Medical Director and Chief of Mental Health, • Recruits, hires and trains staff to provide care in their dedicated area, • Ensure the highest possible quality of mental health care both in the facility and in collaboration with the other jail facilities in the system. This includes active participation in quality improvement, staff and patient safety initiatives, treatment supervision, and personnel mentorship and management., • In coordination with other leadership: design, implementation, ongoing review, and monitoring of relevant clinical facility-specific procedures, policies and operating manuals, • Direct clinical individual and group supervision of the relevant psychiatric prescribing staff, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatric physician assistants. The Quality Assurance (QA) Radiological Technologist position encompasses responsible, administrative and clinical activity of varying degrees of latitude. Clinical level judgement is needed in the daily supervision of radiological functions and patient care, and departmental projects. Responsibilities include: • Review exam orders, consult with radiologist, schedule patients and arrange for transportation as indicated., • Identify patient and document all information pertinent to final report in the RIS and on images (PACS)., • Prepare all patients (infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric) for radiological procedures requested by the clinician. Correctional Health Services The New York City jail system is the second largest in the nation. A significant number of individuals in the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. The service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, medication assisted treatment (MAT), integrated re-entry services that includes alternatives to incarceration, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Furthermore, CHS has been engaged in an effort to better identify people with neurodevelopmental/neurocognitive disorders and to utilize psychological testing to connect people to services in the community (e.g., with OPWDD). The Supervising Psychiatrist is a psychiatric leader of a facility, clinical area, or program and works in close collaboration with the Mental Health Unit Chief, Clinical Supervisors, and Senior Psychiatrist (if applicable) to ensure that safe, holistic, and evidence-based psychiatric care is provided to incarcerated patients with varying levels of mental health needs. A team-based approach to care is critical; one that incorporates all relevant mental health and medical disciplines as well as security staff. A major component of this position will be training, recruiting and retaining high quality staff and providing strong leadership and mentorship for existing staff. Detailed Tasks: • Ensure the highest possible quality of mental health care both in the facility and in collaboration with the other jail facilities in the system. This includes active participation in quality improvement, staff and patient safety initiatives, treatment supervision, and personnel mentorship and management., • In coordination with the facility-specific Mental Health Unit Chief, design, implementation, ongoing review, and monitoring of relevant clinical facility-specific procedures, policies and operating manuals, • Direct clinical individual and group supervision of the relevant psychiatric prescribing staff, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatric physician assistants. This supervision must include both in vivo reviews of clinical skills as well as chart review., • Close collaboration, including regularly scheduled meetings, with other relevant disciplines within the mental health, medical, nursing and operations departments, as well as the Department of Correction, • Ensure that medication renewals are completed in a timely manner, • Educate clinical staff about new developments regarding best practices in all aspects of psychiatric care, with specific attention to the challenges and issues facing a jail setting (e.g., influence of legal case, dual loyalty, medication diversion), • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, • In collaboration with the Mental Health Unit Chief, oversee the orientation of new staff to the facility or program, • Conduct regular and multi-disciplinary case conferences, • Report on an as-needed basis to the CHS Morbidity and Mortality review committee., • Work in collaboration with the Mental Health Unit Chief to manage clinical schedules, vacation requests, CME activities and other relevant activities as they pertain to psychiatric staffing and education, • Participate in policy revision and creation, and practice guideline creations, related to psychiatric care, including input into the psychiatric medication formulary, • Lead at least monthly interdisciplinary mental health staff meetings in coordination with the Mental Health Unit Chief, Clinical Supervisor and Senior Psychiatrist (if applicable)., • Personnel management of clinical staff, including setting quality standards, establishing effective recruitment and retention strategies, and managing workforce complaints, • At least 75% of time devoted to direct clinical care, which may include direct supervision of psychiatric trainees. For smaller facilities or programs with less supervisory need, more direct patient care will be expected, • On-call responsibilities for two weeks at a time, one to times/year, for off-hours issues that require high level clinical intervention, • Other duties at the discretion of the Medical Director of Mental Health, the Chief of Service, or respective Senior Psychiatrist, if applicable. Overview As a member of the Operations Support team, the Infrastructure Operations Manager (IOM) represents Princeton University and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) with professionalism across internal and external stakeholders at local, regional, state, and federal levels. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Public Safety, the IOM collaborates with the Business IT Support Manager to support the day-to-day and long-term technology needs of DPS, a department of approximately 159 staff including Police Officers, Security Officers, Fire Marshals, and administrative personnel. The IOM provides technology leadership and serves as liaison to internal and external partners for a complex Communications Center, which includes customer service functions, a 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), a central alarm station, and a backup Communications Center. Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Case Manager will be responsible for the monitoring and case management of program participants, referring participants to voluntary social service interventions, and helping promote compliance with pre-plea and post-plea conditions. The Case Manager will stay in regular contact with participants, including facilitating in-person case management meetings. Position Summary The CRPA will serve as a dynamic bridge between referral sources and those who wish to enter treatment, offering peer support, advocacy, and resource linkage. The role focuses on fostering positive peer interactions and engaging individuals to enter treatment, who without this support, would not expansion of access to treatment. The CRPA will utilize lived experience and community insight to facilitate engagement, education and access to treatment. CRPA will also serve as part of the Greenwich House at Home program, which dual certifies CRPAs as home health aides, with goal of reducing on site visits. Responsibilities Peer Engagement & Support: • Act as a trusted peer liaison, facilitating conversations and interactions between referrals and the unhoused community., • Provide empathetic support and share relevant resources, using a trauma-informed approach., • Identify and connect individuals with relevant community resources (housing, health, food, and social services)., • Organize and participate in outreach efforts, workshops, or informal meetups aimed at building community trust and understanding., • Provide immediate support during critical incidents, liaising with local authorities and service agencies when necessary., • Work closely with local organizations, city agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure coordinated support and sustainable interventions. Experience & Background: • Lived experience or a strong personal understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized or unhoused populations is highly valued., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and confidence., • Strong problem-solving skills, crisis intervention experience, and the ability to work independently in dynamic urban environments., • Respectful, non-judgmental approach towards all community members., • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while offering genuine, peer-level support., • This role involves regular outdoor engagement at busy public parks, requiring the ability to work in varied weather conditions and during peak community activity times. About Position: The Residential Case Manager at Encore 49 provide case management and rehabilitative mental health services, namely in the areas of hygiene, activities of daily living, financial management, social functioning, health care and self-sufficiency, to identified residents of Encore’s supportive housing program. Facilitates the delivery of appropriate services for residents as indicated by relevant service modalities through an equity lens. · Demonstrates knowledge of resident-specific resources, a passion for serving the population and the ability to contribute to the program-wide objectives of a diverse and dynamic team. · Attends orientations, trainings, education programs, staff meetings, community meetings, conferences and workshops as requested and applicable to meet the needs of the position. May provide training and mentorship to team members and community stakeholders regarding best practices in relevant service models and practices. · Clearly documents all client interactions along with required eligibility and demographic information. Obtains and maintains resident vital documentation and disability documentation. · Ensures timely reporting, documentation and record-keeping within data entry systems and hard copy files in accordance as mandated by funding sources (DHS and DHMH) or agency administrator, in an orderly and up-to-date manner. · Performs duties in a professional manner by maintaining the confidentially of all information and by participating effectively within and across teams. · Conduct monthly room inspections for each resident on the caseload, wellness checks, and deliver client mail if necessary · Maintains physical and emotional safety of all residents in the facility. Manages the milieu and addresses any resident conflict immediately to de-escalate. Will contact emergency personnel as necessary and will accurately and adequately complete any reports or documentation required. · Coordinate services with the Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Treatment Programs, family members, medical facilities, home care agencies, entitlement systems and all other service providers involved with or required by clients. This includes advocacy when needed and/ or visiting hospitalized clients and clients in nursing homes. · Escort clients to and from hospital visits. This include 911 calls where clients are taken to hospital or nursing homes. Conduct follow-up visits with clients who are hospitalized or in a nursing home until the clients are discharged or placed in other long-term treatment facility · Actively participate in the interdisciplinary team approach at Encore 49, including communicating with the Senior Director of Programs. Assistant Director of Senior Housing Services, Building Manager, consulting Psychiatrist, medical doctors, caseworkers, visiting nurse, home health aides, administrative assistance, interns and volunteers. · In times of great need, assist with Encore’s Home Delivered Meals Program; including assisting with the delivery of meals in the Neighborhood of Encore 49 · Participate in staff meetings and supervisory sessions with Director of Social Services and Supervisor of Social Services. · All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: · Have a sensitivity and empathy for participants in the programs. · Two years’ experience and BA in related social service field. · Proven experience with the senior homelessness, and/ or mental health populations. · Strong clinical skills. · Expert written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. · High level of competency working with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based applications. · Strong time-management and prioritization skills. · Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. · Demonstrate excellent organization skills · Knowledge in AWARDS database a plus. · Work well under supervision. · Must be able to work a flexible schedule of either Saturday-Wednesday or Sunday-Thursday. · Bilingual a plus.
