This role gives you the autonomy to manage heavy equipment transportation with the backing of a supportive team that knows you by name. How You Will Make an Impact • Operate and navigate company vehicles, including heavy trucks, trailers, heavy-duty pickup trucks, and cargo vans safely across South Hampton Roads., • Coordinate complex daily material runs between regional suppliers, warehouses, and active residential job sites to maintain strict project timelines., • Manage the loading, unloading, and securing of heavy cargo, ensuring structural supplies like sheetrock, 2x4s, and lumber are transported damage-free., • Execute rigorous physical handling by consistently lifting, carrying, and staging materials weighing 80+ lbs throughout the workday., • Track and update material logs and inventory information digitally using an iPad and company technology platforms., • Inspect and maintain vehicles and trailers before and after use to ensure safety compliance and prevent mechanical delays., • Communicate real-time logistical status with Project Managers, field teams, and office staff to keep job sites organized and efficient., • Uphold absolute safety standards by strictly adhering to company and job site safety protocols. Required Qualifications & Experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record., • Experience driving heavy-duty pickup trucks, trailers, and cargo vans required., • Proven experience safely operating and maneuvering a pickup truck and trailer setup., • Substantial background working within the construction industry., • Strong technical knowledge of basic construction materials, including lumber, sheetrock, framing, and cargo stabilization techniques.Strong technical knowledge of basic construction materials, including lumber, sheetrock, framing, and cargo stabilization techniques., • Proficiency in utilizing digital technology, such as iPads or tablets, for data entry and material tracking., • Absolute commitment to vehicular safety, punctuality, and professional communication., • Ability to successfully pass a background clearance check. Preferred Qualifications & Experience • Advanced experience driving specialized heavy-duty fleet trucks and handling fragile or custom remodeling supplies., • Prior experience coordinating multi-stop supply routing in a fast-paced, high-volume residential remodeling setting.
