About the Role: Circular Services is seeking a Paralegal to help build and operationalize its legal function. It is a hands-on legal operations and contract management role with significant ownership and visibility. This individual will partner closely with the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and Assistant General Counsel, supporting commercial transactions, entity management, and governance. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, organized, detail-oriented, and confident working independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is based in New York, NY and requires regular in-office presence. Benefits: • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, • Company-paid Life Insurance, • Flexible Spending Account (FSA), • 401k with company match, • Paid Parental Leave, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • Tuition Reimbursement Program Responsibilities: Contract Management & Commercial Support • Own day-to-day administration of the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, including workflow creation, template management, playbooks, clause libraries, and reporting., • Draft, review, and redline commercial agreements and amendments in partnership with attorneys and business stakeholders., • Manage contract intake, routing, execution, tracking, and post-execution obligations., • Project manage contract processes across departments to ensure timely execution and compliance., • Develop and maintain standardized templates and negotiation playbooks., • Support RFP responses and commercial transaction documentation., • Serve as primary administrator for Ironclad and other legal systems (entity management, billing/matter management, contract repository)., • Roll out and optimize Ironclad across the organization, including training internal stakeholders and improving workflows., • Manage legal entity structures, registrations, annual filings, and corporate governance documentation., • Oversee outside counsel billing, matter tracking, reporting, and spend management., • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and databases to provide meaningful legal and business insights., • Maintain corporate records, board materials, resolutions, and governance documentation., • Support M&A activities, integrations, and diligence tracking., • Assist with policies and procedures development and documentation., • Act as a business partner to operational and executive teams., • Identify legal and operational risks and proactively recommend solutions., • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal oversight., • Bring structure, organization, and process discipline to a growing legal department. Minimum Job Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certification strongly preferred., • 5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally with significant exposure to commercial contracts and legal operations., • Extensive experience with the legal and business needs of a recycling/composting/reuse provider and industrial/manufacturing operating company, • Demonstrated success managing contracts & agreements, insurance litigation, policies and procedures, entity and matter management, data and reporting, • Highly analytical, with sharp attention to detail, • Exceptional communication, coaching, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and other stakeholders, • Extremely high level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth and improving organizational processes, • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, • Substantial knowledge and experience designing and working with databases, working with Ironclad or similar CLM, Legal Tracker or similar billing and matter management software, CSC or similar legal entity management and SOP software, Ramp, and MS Office.
