Job Description The Innovation & Renovation Project Manager reports to the VP of Marketing and will need strong organization skills to oversee all aspects of product development from ideation to launch. The Project Manager is the glue between cross functional teams and will ensure projects timelines are set, deadlines are met, and new product launches are on time. This role will lead cross functional project meetings, assign responsibilities and continually monitor and summarize the progress of new product development, renovation and cost savings initiatives while ensuring appropriate stage gate check ins are made. The role is highly cross-functional requiring strong attention to detail, active listening, project management and execution skills, and the ability to manage and drive many projects simultaneously. Knowledge of the product development process along with the ability to create a plan of action that fits each unique project and the brand is required for success. An ideal candidate will not only facilitate the success of cross-functional teams and key deliverables but will also support the development of our project management office while defining and improving our processes. This is a wide-reaching role that provides exposure to many facets of the business. Key Responsibilities: • Define projects timelines and ensure deadlines are met and new product launches are on time., • Lead cross-functional project meetings, assign responsibilities, prepare agenda, send meeting notes and continually monitor and summarize the progress of new product development initiatives while ensuring appropriate stage gate check ins are made., • Manage the Stage Gate process (facilitate, manage submissions, prepare and document decisions) for new product development and operational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities., • Lead cross-functional training sessions to educate team members on new processes, tools, and best practices related to operations, project pipeline process and stage gate., • Manage and track multiple new product development projects; monitor day-to-day project activities, track changes, and identify potential risks. Strong leadership and cross-functional partnership is required to ensure successful execution., • Define and drive projects by ensuring deliverables are clearly documented, understood, executed and communicated., • Work in Jira, Confluence, Wrike and Smartsheets to build project timelines, assign and track team tasks. Ability to highlight key risks and manage/call out trade-offs to stay on schedule and ensure project deadlines are met., • Ongoing maintenance and optimization of our processes., • Leverage strong problem-solving skills to deliver results by tracking and analyzing opportunities & risks., • Assist with renovation and cost reduction opportunities to ensure profitable growth., • Work closely with R&D, Co-man, Procurement, Supply Planning, Brand and Quality to ensure seamless execution of packaging plans (artwork revision tracking, pre-press, timeline management)., • Other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications, • A bachelor’s or master degree in a related field., • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus., • Proven experience in project management for CPG companies., • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion., • 5+ years of experience leading the delivery of large, complex, cross-functional projects., • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams., • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies., • Strong attention to detail, communication, project management and problem-solving skills, • Ability to proactively raise issues and creatively work across the team to identify solutions, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, • Proficient in Wrike, Smartsheets, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, • Proficient in project management software Additional Information Annual base salary gross: $90,000 - $100,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
