Overview The Field Performance Technicians are responsible for the management, scheduling, and completion of all service and warranty related work. The Field Service / Field Performance Technician must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of the Performance O&M team. This position will interact closely with the customers, Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule. * Work with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the Branch Manager to allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects as needed * Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians. * Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices * Support the on-boarding and training of new members of the field performance team * Regularly exceed defined goals for field performance key performance indicators including but not limited to turnaround time, experience rating and average dispatches completed * Assist with other tasks including inspections and site audits when assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * 1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required * PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred * High School diploma is required LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (include where appropriate) * Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. * Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred. The Commercial Laundry Mechanic has overall responsibility for the daily repair and preventative maintenance of industrial textile processing equipment and facility maintenance. The Commercial Laundry Mechanic ensure that tasks such as start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, or other systems are completed according to policies and procedures. As well as completing daily production workload in a timely manner, consistently providing quality standards in all areas of laundry operations. Duties include but are not limited to: • Maintain, service, and repair all models of commercial laundry equipment including but not limited to washers, driers, ironers, boilers, extractors, presses, stackers, and other machinery used., • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, issues and rebuild pumps, valves, regulators as needed while utilizing an excellent understanding of steam/thermal systems., • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments., • Inspect, maintain, repair, and service water treatment plant machinery and equipment, including pumps, valves, valve actuators, motors, engines, meters, drives, tanks, reservoirs, compressors, chemical feed and storage systems, UV disinfection systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and other equipment typical of a water treatment facility., • Install and rebuild pumps, motors, piping systems, and specialized water treatment equipment., • Fabricate parts and equipment; operate welding, cutting, and general fabrication equipment., • Pack, lubricate, clean, and paint mechanical equipment and motors., • Inspect newly installed mechanical equipment to ensure safe and satisfactory operation and functionality., • Ensures work is performed safely and efficiently., • Read and interpret technical operation and repair manuals., • Effectively participate with preventive maintenance schedule on all laundry equipment., • Establish an organized laundry inventory system for purchasing of all parts & materials., • Provide technical training to the laundry team. Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions and exposures to laundry manager., • Must understand and adhere to all safety procedures., • Effectively manage daily maintenance requests to minimize equipment down-time and continually improve operational processes., • Strictly adhering to all safety rules, policies and procedures required by Alsco, law, and what is recognized as common practice in the industry., • Keep accurate and timely records of maintenance performed., • Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed by supervision., • Interact with all colleagues in a professional manner, • Comply with all Federal, State and local laws., • Working on boiler and fan systems, • Maintaining logs, records and reports of serviced equipment, • Qualifications:, • Minimum of 3 years hands on experience in a laundry maintenance or similar operation, • Must be able to maintain high levels of confidence., • Maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures and their proper application., • Minimum of five years maintenance engineering experience with specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder and boiler applications., • Quantifiable working knowledge of Weishi systems, dyers, folders, sorting, binding, etc. equipment preferred, • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, • Ability to shift priorities and changing demands, • OSHA compliance, • Must be able to stand for long periods of time; able to bend, stretch reach and stoop on a continual basis Typical Physical Activity Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving a forklift, working on ladder, being in elevated height to perform work, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, moving loaded carts weighing up to 500 lbs, reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
