Key Responsibilities • Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation., • Interpret and integrate patient data to determine suitable diagnostic and therapeutic procedures., • Perform thorough physical examinations, collaborating with healthcare providers to manage both acute and long-term patient needs., • Order and assess appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures., • Synthesize patient data to formulate diagnoses and therapeutic plans, focusing on preventive care., • Administer medications, injections, and perform minor suturing with precision., • Engage in patient interviews and provide guidance on health maintenance and illness prevention., • Recommend and connect patients with vital community resources to meet diverse healthcare needs., • Educate patients and families on medication and treatment regimens, fostering informed health decisions., • Maintain meticulous patient records and charts, ensuring timely posting of test and exam results., • Provide expert consultation by triaging patient telephone inquiries., • Efficiently manage medical and surgical emergencies with expertise., • Ensure seamless continuity and monitoring of patient care between visits., • Leverage knowledge of ICD9, CPT, HCPCS coding, and managed care, partaking in ongoing training as necessary., • Participate in necessary meetings, committees, and pilot projects, contributing to team growth., • Engage in professional development opportunities, upholding high professional standards., • Adhere diligently to HIPAA guidelines to safeguard Protected Health Information., • Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times., • Communicate ideas effectively in alignment with Legacy Community Health's mission., • Participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program.Qualifications, • State of Texas Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) license required., • Active DEA registration is mandatory., • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency or clinical fellowship in OB/GYN is essential, along with current OB/GYN certification by the ABOG or AOBOG, with evidence of competency within the last 12 months., • Ability to meet Legacy Community Health's EPIC proficiency requirements is necessary.About Legacy Community HealthAs the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southeast Texas, Legacy Community Health has been delivering comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable health care for nearly 40 years.
