Job DescriptionIMMEDIATELY HIRING SITE SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE / COORDINATORRALEIGH, NC AREA$39-48/HOUR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS)10 HOUR DAYS, MONDAY - FRIDAY The Construction Site Safety Coordinator will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of all safety policies and procedures on a large-scale data center construction project. This role collaborates closely with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client safety standards, and site-specific safety plans. The position requires a strong field presence, experience on complex construction sites, and a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation. Responsibilities • Implement, monitor, and enforce safety policies and procedures on a large-scale data center construction site., • Ensure full compliance with OSHA construction standards, client safety requirements, and site-specific safety plans., • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and unsafe conditions., • Proactively identify potential risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards., • Collaborate closely with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners to promote a strong safety culture., • Provide safety training, guidance, and coaching to field crews and supervision., • Support the development, communication, and enforcement of site safety programs and procedures., • Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspections, incident reports, and corrective action records using digital or paper-based tools., • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and coordination sessions with project teams., • Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence., • Monitor adherence to confined space, fall protection, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements as applicable., • Minimum of 3+ years of on-site construction safety experience, preferably on data center or mission-critical projects., • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and regulations., • Proven experience supporting large, multi-trade commercial or industrial construction projects., • Ability to confidently communicate safety requirements and expectations to field crews, supervision, and client teams., • Proficiency with safety documentation and reporting tools, both digital and paper-based., • Demonstrated ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement effective mitigation measures., • Strong field presence with the ability to work effectively on active construction sites., • OSHA 510 or equivalent safety certification., • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (preferred)., • NCCER Safety, STS-C, or equivalent safety credential (preferred)., • Training or experience in confined space safety (preferred)., • Training or experience in fall protection systems and procedures (preferred)., • Training or experience in lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures (preferred)., • Experience delivering or supporting safety training programs.
