In this role, you'll perform critical diagnostic cardiac procedures, working alongside physicians and healthcare professionals to provide accurate, high-quality testing that helps patients understand and manage their cardiovascular health. Position requires flexibility to work across our Long Beach, Los Alamitos, and Anaheim clinics as needed. Key Responsibilities • Perform diagnostic cardiac procedures including stress testing, nuclear stress testing, stress echocardiograms, and electrocardiograms with precision and adherence to clinical protocols, • Prioritize and organize workflow to meet clinical needs and ensure timely completion of patient exams, • Triage patients appropriately based on acuity level and follow established procedures for patient identification and safety, • Review exam orders and clinical indications to ensure appropriateness and gather pertinent patient history, • Prepare accurate exam worksheets and templates consistent with department protocols for physician interpretation, • Perform data entry and clerical procedures to ensure completed exams are properly recorded in our EHR system (NextGen), • Maintain compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and safety protocols, • Support the orientation and cross-training of new employees and students, including proctoring as needed, • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on patient care excellenceRequired Qualifications, • High School Diploma or GED, • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, • Understanding of safety practices and emergency protocols, • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Proficiency with electronic health records and data entry systemsPreferred Qualifications, • Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) certification or eligibility, • EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition skills, • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP-approved or CMA-approved), • Prior experience in a cardiology or diagnostic imaging department, • Sit, stand, walk, reach, and move throughout the workday, • Perform fine motor movements including wrist movement and grasping, • Communicate clearly through talking and listening, • Occasionally bend, climb, kneel, or reach overhead, • Lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds regularly This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
