Director of Reliability JOB SUMMARY The Reliability Manager will manage the reliability program, manage engineering projects, and provide technical maintenance expertise to support a safe, efficient, and reliable ASU (Air Separation Unit) production operation. Reliability Programs include reliability data analysis, root cause failure analysis and risk assessment, preventive maintenance, predictive indication, equipment optimization, and best practice. Engineering responsibility covers all disciplines, design, procurement, project management implementation, and management of change related to the production unit. Maintenance fields of expertise include rotating equipment, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control system integration. This role will provide technical subject matter expertise support for or lead: Plant operation support and troubleshooting, (24/7 plant ops support) Preventive Maintenance Program Management (best practice compliance, CMMS system administration, field technical support) Predictive Indication Program Management (vibration, cooling water chemistry, Infrared, ultrasonic, lubrication, etc) Reliability Performance Data Management (KPIs, Budget/Cost, Downtime/Uptime, MTBF, work order completion, Service Hours, etc, Accurate, organized, and on-time administrative reporting, schedule, tasks, time, costs, etc) Reliability Project Management (coordinate scope, schedule, resources, finance, and stakeholders), Productivity and reliability performance assessments, (Lean 6s, Engineering disciplines, CMMS, P&L statements, ROI, etc) Procurement (technical specifications, vender / service provider management, etc), Process and Equipment design engineering (engineering design disciplines, documents, and specifications) Implementation and oversight of change management. (P&IDs, EMOC, etc), Failure analysis and corrective action plans, (RAM, RCFA, FTA/C&E, 8D, Pareto, fishbone, affinity, etc) Engineering safety, quality, and reliability risk assessment, (DMAIC, HAZOP, FMEA, RAM, C&E, LOPA, etc) Reliability best practice development and compliance enforcement. (Specifications, Standards, and Policies), Lead monthly reliability meetings with maintenance department superintendents and managers Lead, manage, train, and develop the department personnel Develop departmental cost projects with a target goal of in maintaining cost savings Lead, plan, and schedule projects through the work management system Reliability equipment calibration and repair Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in an industrial field plus 10 years of related experience. Required Bachelor's degree in engineering with a preference for Reliability Maintenance, Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical disciplines. Preferred Work Experience 7-9 years Engineering related manufacturing experience in Industrial Air Separation industry - Preferred 7-9 years O&M related work in an industrial environment - Required 1-3 years Reliability Engineering related work - Required 1-3 years Project Management related work - Required 1-3 years Bachelor's degree in engineering with preference for Reliability Maintenance, Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical disciplines. - Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to assess the reliability of systems, products, and processes in business operations, then use tools and methodologies to overcome, prevent, or improve potential issues to ensure optimal performance. Knowledge of risk management, loss prevention, and life cycle asset management programs, Engineering, mathematical and statistical abilities to perform data analysis, assess probability, interpret technical drawings / documents, and perform engineering calculations. Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify potential problems, analyze data, prioritize, and implement solutions. Communication skills to explain technical concepts and coordinate / collaborate effectively. Project Management ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (plan, schedule, and organize) Proven Leadership skills to learn from and mentor others, identify and influence critical paths / resources, and organize / lead teams to make good decisions and reduce mistakes. Organizational skills for time management and effective multitasking and prioritization Willingness to become proficient in programs as needed required Strong interpersonal and management skills Licenses and Certifications Certification PMP (Project Management Professional), Professional), Preferred Certification CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability, Preferred Certification MRM (Maintenance and Reliability Management Professional), Preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, it would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, bend and twist, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, equipment, tools or controls. Physical Demands: Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Working Condition This role will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial field environments.
