Job DescriptionBenefits: • Discounted YMCA Membership, • Paid Holidays, • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Paid time off The Food and Beverage Event Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and executing a wide range of events at the Food Bank. This includes handling daily operations of Table24, driving communication with other departments, and performing other mission-driven tasks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Organizing and overseeing logistics for all special events on FBEOs campus, both internal and external, • Book meeting rooms and catering services for Table24, and other hospitality and event related functions for external groups, • Create estimates, invoices, and ensure payments are received on time in coordination with the Accounting Dept., • Perform all booking tasks of all food and beverage related events, including sending rental agreements and ensuring deposits are received and applied correctly i.e. to include Table24, Tinys Cookies etc., • Managing all outside vendors that are booked to provide services or rentals, • Coordinate logistics between departments when an event might impact daily function of FBEO spaces, such as volunteer center, warehouse, facilities maintenance, etc., • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and maintain existing ones, • Assist in creation of social media content for Table24, • Maintain high standards of quality in all areas, including food, beverage, facilities, and guest interactions, • Effectively communicate with guests, staff, and other stakeholders before, during, and after events, • Assist Food Bank Employees with internal requests for catering, such as staff meetings and training, • Manage Employee Meals program, offering frozen meals for a low cost in break room, • Assisting in further expansion of Table24 Event Space to include additional conference space, meeting rooms, and kitchen, • Excellent attendance and punctuality., • Attention to detail., • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize., • Ability to work on multiple tasks and or projects., • Ability to work collaboratively or independently and be a team player., • A desire to fulfill the Food Banks mission and uphold its core values., • Integrity, enthusiasm, perspective, flexibility, and a strong work ethic., • A desire to be a part of an innovative, entrepreneurial organization with the ability to prioritize, move quickly, and maintain strong follow-through in a dynamic environment., • The intellectual depth, maturity, wisdom, and collaborative skills to garner the trust and confidence of volunteer and volunteer leaders, staff, and other constituents., • Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry 50 lbs. repetitively, perceive depth, sit for extended periods, use a computer, work with others, work alone, work long or irregular hours and travel by car, van, bus, and airplane., • Successful candidates are required to pass a drug screen and background check.
