Job Description Certified Medical Interpreter(MUST BE CERTIFIED) Monday – Friday 8-5 |Temp-Perm position | Tulsa, OK $18-$22/hour+DOE About the Role: Are you a language wizard with a passion for helping others? Join our team as a Certified Medical Interpreter and Patient Access Representative (PAR) and be the bridge between patients and healthcare providers, all while keeping our front office humming smoothly. What You’ll Do: Language Superhero: Provide accurate interpretation of critical medical information for non-English-speaking patients. Your skills will be crucial in helping doctors and patients communicate effectively. Front Office Star: When not interpreting, you’ll handle reception duties with a smile, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, registering new and returning patients, and managing patient accounts. Detail Detective: Collect and verify patient insurance information and process payments. Your keen eye ensures that all details are in check! Team Player: Work closely with our healthcare team to provide the best possible patient experience. Requirements: Associate’s degree is preferred or three years of experience in healthcare or related human services field. Experience in medical billing (ICD-9/CPT Coding and medical terminology) is a big plus. Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Lotus) and word processing (MS Word, WordPerfect) is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation are key. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interacted professionally with people in person and over the phone. Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills are a must. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects, work independently, and as part of a team. Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
