Job DescriptionDescription: Position Title: Sanitation Supervisor Reports To: Plant Operations/Quality FLSA Status: Non-exempt Job Grade: 4 Pay Range: $24.50 to $35.14 Position Overview: The Sanitation Supervisor ensures the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including plant and office spaces, while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations such as NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and GMP policies. This role supports maintenance inventory management, undertakes special projects, and prioritizes safety to achieve performance, quality, service, and cost objectives. The position requires adherence to company-established standard operating procedures and manufacturing policies. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and safety of a dynamic dairy manufacturing facility, ensuring top-tier sanitation and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: • Facility Sanitation:, • Clean and maintain lunchrooms, locker rooms, offices, bathrooms, and designated sanitation zones., • Ensure the manufacturing plant remains safe, clean, and compliant with GMP standards., • Collaborate with chemical suppliers to enhance cleaning protocols., • Safely handle and utilize cleaning chemicals in compliance with proper procedures., • Inventory and Organization:, • Maintain adequate stock levels for all supplies in the stockroom and sanitation zones., • Organize and label areas throughout the plant following 5S organizational standards., • Assist with inventory management of maintenance parts and warehouse tasks., • Operational Support:, • Participate in equipment training sessions required for job duties., • Coordinate tote filling processes, including setup, operation, and cleaning., • Support production, quality, sanitation, warehouse, and maintenance teams as needed., • Work with production teams to familiarize yourself with various operational areas., • Maintain sanitation KPI’s (Environmental Monitoring, Master Sanitation Schedule, ATP Swabs)., • Complete CIP and procedural observations to verify compliance., • Teamwork and Process Improvement:, • Join work teams to develop cost-effective solutions for manufacturing processes., • Identify and document corrective actions and process improvement opportunities., • Safety and Compliance:, • Adhere to safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries., • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or experience in food manufacturing, chemical processing, or pharmaceuticals preferred., • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and regulatory compliance., • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, SQF, and other food safety standards., • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other Windows-based applications., • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision., • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions. · Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures. · Potential exposure to ingredients used in food manufacturing, including allergens. · May encounter chemicals commonly used in food processing and distribution facilities. Physical Requirements: · Ability to navigate all areas of the facility, including office spaces, warehouse areas, and the exterior perimeter. · Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary to safely perform job duties. · Ability to stand, sit, and carry out tasks throughout a full shift, with appropriate meal breaks. · Physically capable of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, and crouching as needed. · Able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with reasonable accommodations. · Visual acuity sufficient to perform job duties accurately. · Capable of assessing weights, judging distances, and working at various heights.
