Royal Oak Road Sun City, AZ 85351 Cross streets are 99th and Grand Avenue Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Chef and Sous Chef, the Dishwasher/Utility Worker provides residents, guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware, flooring and equipment. Brief Overview of Major Duties: • Washes plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures., • Ensures utensils, plateware, and glassware are sanitized and available as needed., • Places clean plateware, glassware, silverware and pots/pans in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures., • Keeps sanitation solutions up to Maricopa County Health standards at all times and records on a daily basis., • Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish area. Trouble-shoots dishwasher machine malfunctions. Completes scheduled and assigned cleaning duties., • Keeps kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping floors and emptying trash. Maintains a continuous state of cleanliness., • Performs custodial related duties required to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the food service areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing; including light upholstery cleaning., • Empties and decontaminates trash containers., • Clean all walls in the kitchen and grill service areas including behind the equipment., • Keeps storage areas well stocked, clean, and organized., • Ability to use proper/correct dilutions of cleaning agent as instructed by the manufacturer., • Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning in the main kitchen, grill, center state and bar areas and shampoo carpeted areas., • Keep all floor drains clean and sanitized daily., • Assists as needed on set-up crew with principal responsibilities for setting up tables, chairs, and other furniture for special meetings, banquets, auctions or other events., • Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements: Required Skills and Abilities: • Has knowledge of custodial and floor care., • Has ability to listen to instructions and follow directions., • Is organized, able to multi-task, think creatively and to adapt to different situations., • Must be able to complete training on computer and/or other devices., • Maintain competency in the position and knowledge of trade/industry advances and new technologies., • Preferably has high school diploma or GED equivalent., • Obtains a Maricopa County food handler’s card within 30 days of employment., • Is able to carry/lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds., • May need to operate a fire extinguisher., • Is able to assist in evacuation procedures., • Physical: Climbing to Include Arms & Legs, Lifting/Moving, Carrying/Transporting, Walking/Traversing or Moving, Standing/Stationary Position, Bending, Reaching Forward & Above Shoulder Level, Pulling, Pushing, Gross/Total Manipulation (Firm Hand Grasping, Twisting), Twisting, Stooping, • Cognitive: Oral Communication, Work Under Time Constraints, Concentrate Amid Distractions, Work Rapidly, Work Within Minimal Errors, • Pre-employment Drug Screening, • Criminal Background Check / MVR Check, • Adult Protective Services (APS) Registry Check, • Employment Verification, • TB Testing, • Royal Oaks is a Drug Free Workplace.
