Job Description We are offering a generous SIGN-ON BONUS for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong consulting background in facility electrical design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical power, lighting, and telecommunications systems while ensuring compliance with industry codes and project requirements. This role requires excellent technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Architects. Key Responsibilities: • Design electrical power systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities., • Design lighting systems, including fixture selection and control device specification., • Design telecommunications infrastructure for facility projects., • Perform engineering calculations, including electrical load analysis, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and lighting photometric plots., • Develop and write specifications for electrical systems in facility designs., • Review contractor submittals to ensure compliance with design and project specifications., • Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide technical guidance., • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA codes, energy codes, and project requirements., • Coordinate with other disciplines, including mechanical and architectural teams., • United States Citizen (Required)., • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in facility design., • Highly proficient in AutoCAD (and at least 1 year REVIT experience preferred)., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)., • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA codes, and energy efficiency standards., • Excellent organizational and communication skills., • Self-motivated, well-organized, and proactive in managing assignments., • Relocation assistance in addition to a competitive comp package and benefits., • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Employees are eligible for 100% employer-paid medical insurance when enrolled as single with no dependents.
