This job is based in our office in Orlando, Florida. Applicants must either live in the area or be willing to move to Central Florida and work from the office daily. As a CG Asset Artist at Falcon’s Creative Group, you will need to demonstrate a strong artistic ability, bringing a strong understanding of form, function, and detail. You will need to have the ability to interpret concept art, reference and design docs while having the technical skills to bring your work to life. Asset Artists are required to be versatile in both organic and hard surface modeling. The ideal candidate will not only fulfill the role 3D asset artist but is also passionate in helping the team in other aspects of the project as needed. Essential Functions: • Collaboration:, • Proactive communication/welcomes feedback from supervisors, designers, and others., • Present clean and concise work following the studio’s review process. Take consistent and accurate notes., • Friendly and professional. Driven to share and learn from each other., • Modeling and Texturing:, • Translate ideas/designs into detailed 3D models of props, vehicles, environments, etc. Characters is a plus., • Efficient 3D models, PBR textures and materials matching various visual style and designs, • Be Highly adaptable - pick up new workflows as the industry/trends and projects evolve., • Technical Assurance:, • Generate high quality, clean, optimized 3D models following proper topology, UV, textures, etc., • Maintain clean, well organized working files and scenes, • Work with the team to manage optimization, implementation, and debugging, • Task Management, • Ability to manage time and work pace to meet milestones and deadlines., • Manage tasks and statuses in a production software such as Flow Pro/Shotgrid and/or Jira, • Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures., • At least 1-5 years school/work-related experiences in computer animation, VFX and/or gaming industry., • Ability to read and comprehend notes, dimensional plans and sketches., • Proven experience as a great 3D artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing excellent understanding of artistic and technical modeling/texturing principles, design, and visual storytelling., • A firm understanding of visualization fundamentals including composition, scale, lighting, color., • A mind for problem solving and the drive to fill in the gaps on the team/projects., • Proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, Unreal 5, Substance Painter, Photoshop and other industry standard software., • Proficiency in Substance Designer, 3dsmax, Rhino, Revit is a plus, • Familiarity with task tracking software such as Flow Pro/Shotgrid and Jira are a plus, • Excellent communication and collaboration skills., • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
