Job Description Pharmacy Floor Technician– Night Shift - Contract to HIRE - Vestal, NY Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM Pay Rate: $19 Location: Vestel, NY Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support evening pharmacy operations. This role is responsible for accurately preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification in a fast-paced, production-focused environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, efficiency, and compliance with pharmacy regulations and procedures. Key Responsibilities * Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. * Pick, pull, scan, label, and prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification. * Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy. * Notify the pharmacist on duty of any scanning or product discrepancies. * Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods. * Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of drugs according to established procedures. * Package pharmacy materials and products manually as required. * Maintain clean, organized workstations and replenish stock and supplies as needed. * Comply with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA. * Adhere to departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code. * Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Required) * High School Diploma or GED equivalent. * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. * Ability to work at a moderate production pace. Preferred Qualifications * Previous pharmacy technician experience. * Experience working in a production or fulfillment-based pharmacy environment. Physical Requirements * Ability to sit or stand for 7–10 hours per shift. * Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. * Manual dexterity to operate pharmacy and office equipment. * Visual acuity for reading fine print, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment. * Ability to hear and respond to normal conversational speech.
