Job DescriptionTitle of Position: Social Service Supervisor FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Transitional Housing Reports to: Program Director Salary: Up to $62,849.80 per year Positions reporting to this position: Case Managers Purpose of the Position: The Social Service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Case Managers working in shelters provide quality services to families in accordance with all the Department of Homeless (DHS) services, the NYS Office of Temporary Disability Assistance (OTDA), and Win requirements. The Social Service Supervisor will provide supervision to Case Managers using Evidence Based Practices (EBP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), and boundary setting. Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive case management including individual and group counseling services and other appropriate support services to clients in the absence of the Case Managers. * Supervise Case Managers and provide coaching, training, and staff development as needed. * Manage the shelter’s multidisciplinary team. * Champion the use of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) in all aspects of Win services. * Use and promote EBP, MI, MIC, and TIC to exceed program goals. * Assume responsibility for Program Services in the absence of the Program Director. * Participate in DHS daily housing metrics calls. * Provide crisis intervention, oversee day-to-day case management services and ensure weekly case conferences. * Ensure all Case Managers conduct an initial needs assessment with new families within 48 hours of arrival at the shelter and begin to develop an Individualized Living Plan (ILP). * Participate in Child Safety Conferences and provide information as a Mandated Reporter to the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) as needed. * Ensure Case Managers are provided with orientation and training related to their responsibilities in maintaining the Uniform Client Chart. * Ensure Case Managers maintain current and accurate confidential case records with all required documentation. * Audit the Client Assistance and Rehousing Enterprise System (CARES) database, review essential documentation, and monitor chart maintenance for OTDA, DHS, and Win audit readiness. * Work with community service providers to ensure clients receive essential services including mandated substance abuse treatment and mental health services. * Attend regularly scheduled CARES training sessions to obtain DHS updates. * Develop and conduct client activities/workshops. * Schedule and attend client monthly house meetings. * Provide feedback to the Program Director to ensure resources are available and the goals of the program are achieved. * Prepare accurate and timely reports required by funders and Win. * Perform other related duties as needed. Essential Functions: * Must be able to work one evening weekly, one Saturday a month, and holidays. * Must be able to ascend/descend stairs in the building where client families reside. * Must be able to escort clients to appointments as needed. Job Description Overview Mental Health Clinician (LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, Psychologist) Employed by PAGNY for The Division of Correctional Health Services (CHS) of New York City Health + Hospitals (H+H) is responsible for the delivery of medical care, mental health care, and discharge planning in the jail system. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. Job Description Customer Experience Assistant, Sales - Manhattan - Nolita, NY Our Customer Experience Assistants provide an exceptional experience for every Brilliant Earth customer. These team members assist our customers in finding their best jewelry match from our luxury product line. By meeting and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment, this team creates personalized experiences while sharing the happiest moments of our customers' lives. Job Description Reporting Relationships: Program Director reports to the Program Coordinator. What you will do: Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, Program Directors are expected to perform the following principal duties and responsibilities. · Exercise overall responsibility for the safe operation and effective results of all program operations at the facility · Provides continuance oversight of all facility sand program activities · Ensure shelter maintains its contractual compliance regarding program goals and objectives. · Meet all performance expectations established for the shelter by AAPCI and Department of Homeless Services and other governing entities · Maintain a healthy and safe environment for residents and staff while ensuring that residents move towards attainment of independent living, or an appropriate living status beyond AAPCI shelter · Operate the facility and programs within the approved limits established by the annual budget · Serve as the primary program liaison to DHS. Collaboratively work with the Director of Operations, Senior Program Leaders and Executive Management to deliver program outcomes · Work collaboratively with building management to maintain facility conditions, including ongoing monitoring of unit repairs and other requirements issued by DOHMH, DOB, FDNY, HPD, DHS, etc. · Work alongside the Human Resources Department in 1) Adhering to the HR Policies and Procedures established in the Employee Handbook 2) The selection process in filling vacant positions and 3) Receive guidance in handling employee’s performance problems. · Work alongside the Quality Assurance and Compliance Department in 1) Assuring the shelter remains in compliance with City and State regulations 2) The maintenance of the facility is at a level of excellence that will surpass the requirements of all inspections and 3) Internal trainings/workshops to support professional development · Maintain the critical binder and ensure all the necessary documents (inspections, fire drills, site schedule, security licenses) are up to date and audit-ready at all times · Work collaboratively with food vendors to ensure retrieval of menus and timely deliveries. · Be responsible for maintaining effective communication and interaction with staff in all areas of the shelter while ensuring the staff receives the necessary training and professional development that will equip them to be successful in their job descriptions · Foster a positive teamwork environment through mentoring, coaching, and providing feedback to staff based on performance · Assess program needs and identify potential funding streams to enhance services · Serve as liaison to local service providers and community leaders to ensure a good relationship with the community · Ensure shelter maintains its contractual compliance regarding program goals and objectives · Ensure prompt responsiveness to incidents, especially Priority 1 incidents. · Required to follow-up and submit reasonable accommodations and grievances received by shelter residents · Work collaboratively with food vendors to ensure menus and timely deliveries occur · Oversees administrative assistant who may be involved in daily department activities that implement the organization’s policies · Oversees the Administrative Assistant handle of the petty cash funds, required to provide approval for purchases · Review the petty cash reconciliation spreadsheet for accuracy and approved purchases for submission to Finance Team · Conduct operation and social service department meetings need to discuss program. improvements and achieve program goals issued by the funder, governing agencies, and AAPCI · Track, review, and complete payroll for employees assigned at the program location. · Reviews and submit weekly, biweekly, and monthly internal and external reports required to track facility activity, staffing needs, housing placements, veterans, etc. · Utilize demographic reports and other existing program data to evaluate shelter performance and implement short- and long-term plans to achieve goals · On-call 24/7 · While the Program Director may make suggestions/recommendations, at the discretion of the Executive Team, applicants are interviewed/selected for staff positions and/or transfers. · Tasks may be modified, expanded and assigned over time · Other duties as assigned by supervisor About you: Master’s Degree in relevant field with a minimum of at least 3-4 years successful experience in servicing to homeless individuals/families, mental health, substance abuse, or senior-level shelter administration or; o Bachelor Degree with at least 5-7+ years’ experience in servicing homeless individuals/families, mental health, substance abuse, or senior level shelter administration. At least at least 3-5 years of documented progressive managerial experience Other Requirements: · Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; · Strong verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on face-to-face, empathetic communication with shelter residents; · Exceptional leadership skills in dealing with both staff and residents coupled with a personal commitment to serving the poor and disadvantaged; · Experience with mental health and substance use population, Preferred. · Experience in staff training and development · An understanding of funding and industry regulations and a track record of meeting compliance standards · Strong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skills · Ability to work on a strong team of professionals in a culturally diverse environment · License in social work or mental health counseling- Preferred.
