The Director of Ecosystem & Resilience will lead regional ecosystem design across education, workforce, business, and civic sectors — ensuring East Harris County becomes a thriving, unified region. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role designed for a builder, not a maintainer. What You’ll Be Responsible For Ecosystem Architecture * Design and maintain a comprehensive East Harris County Ecosystem Map across education, workforce, business, and civic sectors. * Establish a shared framework for collaboration and outcomes tracking by Q1 2026. * Ensure at least 20 active ecosystem partners are formally engaged through agreements, data sharing, or program alignment. Advance Regional Resilience * Oversee implementation of EHCEC’s resilience initiatives, integrating disaster preparedness, recovery, and long-term stability programs. * Ensure 12 community-based resilience or preparedness trainings are delivered annually in partnership with local leaders and emergency management partners. * Maintain a minimum 85% community satisfaction rating across all resilience and recovery programs. Expand Cross-Sector Partnerships * Lead the development and renewal of at least 5 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) or collaboration agreements annually with schools, employers, and civic institutions. * Secure 3 new shared funding proposals or grants totaling at least $250,000 in the first year. * Build and steward an integrated, multi-sector partnership network (LINK) that facilitates referral pathways and co-designed initiatives across sectors. Drive Data & Collective Impact * Partner with the Innovation & Systems Team to implement a shared measurement system for tracking outcomes across ecosystem partners. * Publish quarterly dashboards highlighting partner outcomes, equity impact, and system-level progress. * Produce EHCEC’s first Annual Ecosystem & Resilience Report by Q4 2026. Lead Regional Engagement & Influence * Host at least 6 cross-sector convenings or leadership roundtables annually to align stakeholders and advance shared goals. * Represent EHCEC at regional coalitions, funder tables, and policy forums to strengthen East Harris County’s collective voice. * Secure at least 3 new institutional partnerships (e.g., higher education, government, healthcare) that expand EHCEC’s ecosystem reach and sustainability. What You Bring ✅7+ years in community or economic development, systems design, or cross-sector partnership management. ✅Proven track record in collaborative funding, impact measurement, and coalition-building. ✅Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills. ✅Experience with data visualization or collective-impact frameworks (preferred). ✅Entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to operate with urgency. What Success Looks Like - 30, 60 ,90 day First 30 Days – Learning & Orientation * Conduct a full ecosystem audit of existing partnerships, collaborations, and MOUs; submit a written summary identifying key gaps and high-potential alignment areas. * Meet with 15+ regional partners across education, workforce, business, and civic sectors to assess engagement opportunities and map relationship status. * Review and validate 100% of active resilience and ecosystem-related grants, budgets, and reporting requirements. First 60 Days – Execution & Contribution * Develop a draft East Harris County Ecosystem Map outlining active partners, networks, and service intersections. * Finalize a Resilience Partnership Framework including proposed data metrics, training calendar, and community engagement plan. * Establish data baselines and partner reporting templates in collaboration with the Innovation & Systems Team. First 90 Days – Ownership & Strategic Impact * Host the first Regional Ecosystem Convening, securing participation from at least 20 institutional and community partners. * Release a Quarter 1 Ecosystem Snapshot Report summarizing baseline data, partnership wins, and early indicators of collective impact. * Present a strategic next-phase plan to EHCEC leadership outlining Year 1 milestones, funding opportunities, and partnership growth goals.
