Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Wound Care, • Discipline: RN, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care in the assessment, treatment, and management of complex wounds. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in wound, ostomy, and continence care, along with a patient-centered approach in diverse clinical settings. Key Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments, • Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans, • Provide advanced wound care treatments, including debridement and wound vac therapy, • Monitor healing progress and adjust care plans accordingly, • Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy care, and prevention strategies, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, • Follow infection control and safety protocolsRequired Certifications:, • Active California RN License – Required, • AHA BLS Certification – Required, • CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse), • CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse), • Experience with advanced dressings: foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, alginates, • Debridement techniques: mechanical, enzymatic, and sharp, • Wound VAC / Negative Pressure Therapy, • Skin substitutes and growth factors (preferred), • Pain management and skin integrity issues, • Management of fatigue, altered mental status, and GI symptoms, • Colostomy and ileostomy management, • Ostomy equipment selection and patient education, • Urinary and fecal incontinence programs, • Pressure ulcer staging (Stage I–IV), • Venous, arterial, and neuropathic ulcer care, • Tunneling and undermining assessment, • Infection control and isolation precautions (PPE), • G-tube/J-tube care, • Strong patient and family education skillsPreferred Skills:, • Experience in LTAC/SNF settings, • Pediatric wound care experience, • Advanced continence diagnostics (urodynamics, biofeedback, etc.), • Weekly pay, • Medical benefits
