Job DescriptionPosition Description: Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and coachable Entry-Level IT Support Specialist who is looking to build a long-term career path in Information Technology. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across modern enterprise systems. As part of our IT team, you will work directly under the mentorship of the Director of IT, who will provide training, education, and real-world knowledge to support your career development. This position serves as the first point of contact for resolving technical issues, performing onsite installations, and supporting company-wide IT operations across our Texas portfolio. This is a hands-on role that requires someone comfortable working with tools, installing equipment, troubleshooting hardware/software, and traveling as needed. Key Responsibilities Helpdesk & Ticket Management \tServe as the first point of contact for incoming IT requests via Jira Service Desk. \tAccurately triage, resolve, document, or escalate tickets in a timely manner. \tDeliver excellent customer service and clear communication with end-users. Onsite Technical Support \tTravel to company properties statewide to provide hands-on technical support (mileage reimbursed). \tPerform standard hardware installations, including workstations, peripherals, access points, switches, and other IT equipment. \tUse basic tools to mount, install, configure, and troubleshoot devices. \tDiagnose and resolve onsite hardware, software, VoIP, and network issues. Systems Administration Support \tAssist with user account creation, email groups, license assignments, and permissions in Microsoft 365. \tConfigure, deploy, and manage Windows, macOS, and iOS/iPadOS devices using Intune, JamfNOW, and Mosyle. \tSupport VoIP phone setup, line assignments, and device provisioning. Knowledge Management \tCreate, update, and maintain internal knowledge base documents in Jira Confluence. \tRecord troubleshooting steps, configurations, and standard procedures to support cross-team learning. Asset & Inventory Management \tTrack and manage IT assets including hardware, software, serial numbers, and lifecycle data. \tAssist with procurement, deployment, and organization of IT stock and equipment. Qualifications \t1+ year of IT support experience preferred (internships, helpdesk experience, or equivalent school projects accepted). \tBasic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration tools. \tFamiliarity with Windows and macOS troubleshooting. \tAbility to confidently use tools and perform installation/mounting of equipment. \tStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. \tReliable personal vehicle with willingness to travel statewide as needed (mileage reimbursed). \tStrong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and customer service. Preferred Skills (Not Required) \tExperience with Intune, JamfNOW, or Mosyle device management. \tKnowledge of Jira Service Desk and Confluence. \tBasic understanding of networking concepts (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, cabling). \tExperience with VoIP systems and endpoint setups.
