This is a live in position for a 81 year old dementia patient. Must be willing to work under state CDPAP. The position will be 3.5 days live in, days will vary based on scheduling but can ask for preferred days at this time. The schedule can also go 3 or 4 days on then 3 or 4 days off. Must be able to work on the books. Will go through a healthcare agency for hiring. The agency will pay you along with PTO, and benefits if needed. They do not make your schedule the family makes the schedule. You will have your own room and share a bathroom with patient. You get paid for 13 hours out of the 24, you get 3 one hour breaks through out the day. You can sleep at night as this is a live in position. Patient needs assistance with daily living activities. Light cooking, cleaning and prompts for showering and getting dressed. She is currently continent and toilets herself. Elopement is an issue but when someone is with her she is good. Assistance with grocery shopping is needed too. You must have own car as she no longer has one due to her elopement history. This is flexible as family is very involved. You will have a lock on your bed room door and there are also locks that will be in place so that she cannot open outside doors by herself if needed at night.
