Job Description Marketing and Business Development Specialist Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is a well-established and dynamic law firm seeking a Marketing and Business Development Specialist to join its close-knit marketing team in Florham Park, NJ headquarters. Flexible/hybrid working arrangements are available. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented marketing professional with prior experience in legal or professional services who enjoys a direct role supporting a range of marketing, communications, and business development activities. The position offers consistent involvement across firmwide initiatives within a lean, collaborative team environment, where responsibilities are shared and adaptability is key. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being a strong individual contributor in a collaborative setting, with a focus on execution, reliability, and day-to-day impact. The role is designed as a core support position within a small team, with an emphasis on consistency and collaboration. Position Overview The Marketing and Business Development Specialist will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and the broader Marketing team to support and coordinate day-to-day marketing, communications, and business development activities. This role emphasizes reliable execution, organization, and ownership of recurring processes, including administrative support, project coordination, calendaring, and logistics. The Specialist is expected to operate with a degree of independence on routine tasks while collaborating closely with team members to support broader initiatives. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Supporting day-to-day marketing and business development activities in coordination with the Marketing team and the firm’s attorneys, • Managing calendars, deadlines, and tracking tools for marketing initiatives, awards submissions, sponsorships, and events, ensuring accuracy and consistency, • Coordinating the planning and execution of in-person events, client programs, conferences, and webinars, including logistics, vendor coordination, registrations, materials, and follow-up, • Conducting research and assisting with logistical planning for external events, sponsorship opportunities, and conferences, • Supporting new hire and attorney onboarding initiatives, including maintaining onboarding checklists and coordinating marketing-related setup, • Assisting with pitch materials, proposals, and responses to RFPs, with the ability to take an active role in drafting and organizing content as needed, • Supporting digital communications initiatives, including content coordination and social media posting, • Maintaining and updating internal trackers, databases, and marketing files with a high degree of accuracy and organization, • Assisting with awards and rankings research, managing deadlines, proofreading submissions, and tracking outcomes, • Supporting press releases and marketing collateral, as needed, • Collaborating closely with marketing colleagues and attorneys across practices and offices to ensure smooth execution of initiatives, • Providing informal guidance and support to team members on processes, timelines, and best practices, as appropriate, • Taking ownership of assigned projects and recurring tasks while contributing to shared team responsibilities, • Assisting with additional marketing, communications, and administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented professional who brings prior experience and is comfortable in a support-focused, execution-driven role within a collaborative team environment: • Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or business development within a professional services environment., • Ability to manage recurring processes and responsibilities with consistency and attention to detail., • Proven ability to produce high-quality work and meet deadlines with minimal oversight on routine tasks., • Solid written and verbal communication skills., • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization., • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities., • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively., • Positive, flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment., • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly., • 2–5 years of relevant experience required in legal or professional services marketing, business development, or a similar role., • Bachelor’s degree required., • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Canva required., • Familiarity with AP Style, digital marketing tools, or PR databases is a plus., • Experience supporting events, proposals, or marketing operations preferred. Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000. The salary range does not guarantee, obligate, nor set expectations of an applicant’s salary in the event of hire. Actual compensation will depend upon several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.
