JOB POSTING About the Role – OSP Field Supervisor ACG is seeking an experienced OSP Field Supervisor to oversee fiber optic and utility construction projects across multiple work zones. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors in fast‐moving field environments. The OSP Field Supervisor serves as the primary field‐level leader, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with specifications, permits, and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings deep OSP construction experience, strong problem‐solving skills, and the ability to manage complex field operations. Schedule & Reporting • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (flexibility as required), • Employment Type: Regular, Full‐Time, • Reports To: Management Team, • Work Environment: Field‐based (multiple job sites, outdoor work zones) Company Culture • Strong safety and compliance culture, • Clear communication and daily follow‐through, • Accountability for field execution and documentation, • Leadership by example in the field, • Respect for procedures, permits, and standards Compensation & Benefits • Compensation: $68,000 - $78,000 (based on experience), • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued every pay period; increases with tenure, • Paid Holidays: 7 full paid holidays annually, • Half‐Day Holidays (Salaried): Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve, • 401(k) Retirement Plan: 3.5% employer match, • Profit Sharing (Salaried): Based on company performance and KPIs, • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance: Available to eligible employees What You Will Do Field Supervision & OSP Execution • Supervise crews installing fiber conduit, pulling fiber, and deploying ITS equipment, • Oversee aerial and underground installation of electrical and communication systems, • Monitor quality, safety, and progress across multiple work zones, • Coordinate daily field activities, equipment, and materials, • Serve as the primary field contact for project managers and clients Safety, Quality & Compliance • Enforce safety regulations, traffic control plans, and company procedures, • Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and permits, • Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies for permitting and compliance, • Act as a safety liaison and ensure incident prevention Documentation, Planning & Coordination • Support project planning and design through documentation and As‐Built preparation, • Manage material procurement, inventory, and usage tracking, • Maintain accurate field documentation and reporting, • Coordinate excavation, installation, and restoration activities Leadership & Resource Management • Schedule and deploy crews effectively, • Support subcontractor coordination and performance, • Assist with fleet, equipment, and material management, • Troubleshoot field issues and escalate risks as needed Performance Expectations First 30 Days • Demonstrate understanding of ACG safety policies, OSP standards, and workflows, • Establish effective crew coordination and communication routines, • Maintain accurate daily field reporting and documentation, • Build familiarity with permits, plans, and project requirements Ongoing Deliverables • Daily coordination of crews, equipment, and materials, • Weekly review of safety, quality, and production metrics, • Monthly review of As‐Built documentation and compliance, • Monthly improvement proposals for field execution, safety, or workflow efficiency Required Experience & Qualifications • 5–10 years of field supervision experience in fiber optic, telecom, or utility construction, • Strong knowledge of OSP fiber construction (directional drilling, plowing, fiber installation), • Familiarity with OSP infrastructure (Maxcell, Innerduct, Microduct, fiber cable, microcable), • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints, • Strong leadership, communication, and project‐management skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, American Contractor, Job Tracker, and Job Docs, • Prior CDL and valid NM driver’s license, • Required Certifications:, • NM EE98 Certification, • OSHA 30 (OSHA credentials for aerial lineman – CATV) Skills & Competencies • As‐Built documentation and design, • Employee scheduling and deployment, • Excavation, restoration, and heavy equipment operation (trencher, excavator, backhoe), • Conventional and directional boring (locator experience preferred), • Multiple cable‐pulling systems, • Traffic control planning, • Permit coordination (municipal, state, archeological, environmental), • Critical thinking and problem‐solving, • Safety supervision and liaison experience, • Fleet and equipment management, • Utility locating and gas‐related OQ experience (preferred) Work Expectations • Ask questions immediately when plans, permits, or instructions are unclear—no assumptions, • Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding environments, • Manage multiple crews and work zones simultaneously, • Flexible hours may be required based on workload and project needs, • Maintain professionalism, safety, and quality at all times Core Values • Accountability – Own results and communicate honestly, • Character – Professional conduct and reliability, • Integrity – Ethical behavior and accurate reporting, • Safety – Commitment to safe work practices, • Teamwork – Leads and supports field teams, • Trustworthiness – Consistent follow‐through and transparency Work Environment • Field‐based role with outdoor work and job‐site coordination, • Travel to job sites and extended field presence required Additional Notice This position is performance‐based.
