Key Responsibilities: Audit & Accounting Responsibilities: * Lead, support and manage audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients * Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GAGAS * Understand and contribute to the firm’s Quality Control system * Assist clients with day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations * Evaluate internal controls and provide recommendations for improvements * Work with clients across industries such as healthcare, real estate, tech, manufacturing, not-for-profit, and more Tax Responsibilities: * Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for entities including partnerships, S-corps, and C-corps (including some international clients) as well as individual tax returns. * Assist in tax planning and compliance across various jurisdictions * Support clients with sales tax, multistate, and international reporting requirements Leadership & Internal Development * Mentor and manage accounting staff and seniors, providing technical training and professional development * Contribute to process improvement and firm initiatives including quality control * Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for growth within existing and new client relationships * Grow into serving as primary advisor for a portfolio of clients in a range of industries Qualifications: * CPA required * 15+ years of experience in public accounting * Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and tax law * Proficient in accounting and tax software (CCH ProSystem fx, CCH Engagement, QuickBooks, MS office, Excel, etc.) * Excellent communication skills and client-facing confidence * Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple engagements * Eager to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with unlimited opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Goods arriving at our warehouse or 3pl: • Handle importing from Turkey & Egypt origins., • Review factory documents to confirm accuracy of data transmission into NetSuite from InforNexus., • Mark shipments in transit and take ownership in NetSuite., • If T/T terms, send to A/P for payment approval of vendor invoice., • Monitor shipments weekly and update ETAs as required to maintain accuracy., • Track containers on water to ensure there are no delays., • Ensure we have arrival notices five days prior to arrival date of container., • Send all customs documents to broker to ensure customs is cleared upon arrival., • Send A/P approval for freight payment., • Ensure trucking company has D/O and container details are added to their tracker., • Follow up to make sure containers are picked up before LFD to manage additional fees., • Once warehouse receives containers, reviews receiving reports, and processes any discrepancies., • Distributions of Containers to various warehouses, • Closes Containers, • Maintains Log (i.e. arrival notice received, payment request sent, D/O submitted), • Participate in T/L calls for top customers, providing updates on shipping statuses., • Validate and approve freight and vendor invoices via Zone., • Performs other related duties as assigned. THE POSITION The Operations Supervisor for Container Sales & Modifications is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Modification Shop, supervising staff, and ensuring quality control in all modification projects. This role involves coordinating production schedules, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and supporting various operational needs as directed by the Senior Director of Production. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise and manage shop & yard personnel, include welders, framers, painters, shop assistants, and machine operators, ensuring efficient scheduling and timekeeping., • Oversee and participate in modification work, including spray paint booth operations and facility maintenance., • Ensure quality control for all modification projects, maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards., • Operate and oversee the safe use of lift equipment in the shop and spray paint booth., • Procure, track, and manage tools, materials, and supplies required for modification work., • Liaise with Operations staff responsible for equipment control and customer service, • Assist in identifying labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents, • Address and resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, • Collaborate internally on Modification Shop-related matters; and coordinate with Sales Yard staff responsible for equipment control and customer service., • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in coordination with the Senior Director of Production, • Participate in Interport safety programs and ensure adherence to workplace policies and procedures, • Assist with special projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
