Position Summary The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials, equipment, and finished goods to and from customer locations, job sites, and vendor facilities. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and company procedures to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including flatbeds and tractor-trailers., • Transport materials, fabricated products, and oversized loads between facilities, customer sites, and vendors., • Ensure cargo is properly secured using chains, binders, straps, and other securement devices., • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues., • Maintain accurate driver logs, BOLs, and DOT-required documentation., • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, dispatch, and internal teams., • Assist with loading/unloading materials when required., • High school diploma or GED required, • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record required, • 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred., • Experience hauling oversized or heavy loads preferred., • Knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and load-securement requirements., • Ability to read maps, manifests, and GPS systems., • Strong communication, reliability, and time-management skills., • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment., • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks, • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours), • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently, • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required, • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, • Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment, • Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects, • Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.) Manufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise. May be exposed to hot or cold environments depending on season. Work schedule may include overtime, weekend shifts, or on-call schedules as needed.
