Job Description General Manager – Russo New York Pizzeria Location: Kingwood, Texas Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for the complete operation and performance of the restaurant. This role leads and develops both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams, ensures consistent food quality, delivers outstanding guest experiences, controls costs, and drives sales growth. The General Manager is a hands-on leader who sets the standard for excellence in operations, training, hospitality, and accountability. Primary Responsibilities Restaurant Operations • Oversee all daily operations for dine-in, takeout, and delivery., • Ensure every pizza, pasta, and menu item is prepared and cooked exactly to Russo New York Pizzeria specifications., • Maintain consistent standards for food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and presentation., • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food safety regulations., • Hire, train, coach, and develop FOH and BOH team members., • Ensure all staff are properly trained on recipes, service standards, systems, and procedures., • Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance., • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and corrective coaching., • Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience., • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly., • Maintain a strong floor presence during peak hours to support staff and engage with customers., • Monitor and control labor costs, food costs, and operating expenses., • Analyze sales, labor, and cost reports to improve profitability., • Reduce waste and improve operational efficiency., • Grow top-line sales across dine-in, takeout, and delivery channels., • Develop and execute local marketing and promotional initiatives., • Network with local stores, schools, and businesses to drive catering and group orders., • Actively represent the brand in the local community. Schedule & Availability • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays., • Willing and able to work 65+ hours per week based on business needs. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift., • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and reach frequently., • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds., • Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment with heat, noise, and physical demands. Qualifications • Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager or senior restaurant leader., • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and cost controls., • Proven ability to train, lead, and motivate teams., • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills., • High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail., • Passion for hospitality, quality food, and guest satisfaction.
