Job DescriptionDescription: Summary: The janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in our shop environment. This role is essential in supporting our daily operations and requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The janitor will be responsible for three facilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, especially in high-traffic areas., • Empty and dispose of waste in designated receptacles; manage recycling bins and hazardous waste according to company policies., • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas; restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed., • Clean and maintain equipment and tools in designated areas., • Wash windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces within the facility., • Conduct regular maintenance checks to identify potential issues (e.g., leaking pipes, faulty lighting) and report them to the appropriate personnel., • Maintain the exterior of the shop, including sweeping entrances, picking up debris, and clearing pathways., • Assist with minor repairs as needed (e.g., changing light bulbs, tightening screws)., • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums., • Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning supplies, ensuring compliance with company health and safety guidelines., • Collaborate with team members to support a safe and organized workspace., • Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements:, • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Previous experience as a janitor or in a similar cleaning role, especially in an industrial or shop environment., • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment., • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently., • Understanding of safety protocols when handling cleaning supplies and working in a shop environment., • Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs., • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed., • Forklift experience required.

Follow all cold-storage safety protocols and take regular warm-up breaks as instructed. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment in areas where frozen food products are stored.
