Position Overview: Kayne Anderson Private Credit (“KAPC”) is seeking a Vice President or Director to join its Restructuring & Workouts team. This individual will play a key role in managing stressed and distressed portfolio investments across KAPC’s middle market direct lending platform. The role is designed for a hands-on restructuring professional with a strong creditor-side orientation who can independently lead complex situations while partnering closely with deal teams, management teams, and external advisors. The position offers significant responsibility, including primary leadership of select credits and direct exposure to investment committee decision-making. This hire will be an integral part of a lean, high-impact team responsible for preserving and enhancing value across a diversified portfolio of middle market investments. Responsibilities: • Lead restructuring and workout situations across KAPC’s portfolio, including both in-court and out-of-court processes (e.g., amendments, liability management, Chapter 11, and rescue financings), • Act as primary point of contact on select stressed/distressed investments, driving strategy, negotiations, and execution, • Develop and evaluate restructuring strategies, including capital structure solutions, liquidity management, and downside protection scenarios, • Engage directly with management teams, sponsors, and advisors, including participation in board meetings and creditor negotiations, • Oversee financial analysis and modeling, including liquidity forecasting, recovery analysis, and valuation work, • Coordinate internal stakeholders, including deal teams, investment committee, and senior leadership, • Manage external advisors, including legal counsel, financial advisors, and consultants, • Monitor broader portfolio trends, identifying early warning signals and proactively managing risk across credits, • Support underwriting teams on stressed situations, amendments, and opportunistic secondary or rescue investments Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will reflect a blend of restructuring advisory and direct lending experience, consistent with leading profiles in the market.
