The Resource Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, staffing, and allocating skilled trade personnel to support project execution. This role works closely with the Superintendents, and Field Operations Managers to ensure the right workforce is available to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. By owning execution follow-through and visibility, this role reduces delays, prevents dropped handoffs, and minimizes reactive escalation, enabling leadership to trust that once decisions are made, execution will reliably follow. This role does not make hiring, staffing, or delivery decisions; it ensures those decisions are executed cleanly, visibly, and predictably. This role sits at the center of hiring, employee engagement, and resource planning, tracking manpower movement and assisting with temp. labor assignments. Reports to: Director of Operations Primary Responsibilities: Recruiting & Hiring: • Generate, monitor, and control Job Postings, • Source qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, and industry networks, • Screen resumes, reschedule / conduct interviews, and evaluate candidate qualifications using Icon Electric interview tools, • Verify licenses, certifications, and work eligibility, • Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes, • Coordinate hiring needs with HR and management, • Assist with field personnel assignments and dispatching, based on; skillset, experience, certifications, and project requirements, • Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Operations Managers, and other relevant staff to assist to review and monitor manpower forecasting, • Assist Field Operations Team with adjusting manpower levels as projects ramp up or down, • Coordinate workforce movement between job sites using Manpower Tracker spreadsheet, • Assist with dispatching electricians to new project assignments, • Lead Temp Labor Management, • Maintain an up-to-date workforce database (skills, certifications, availability), • Track workforce levels by project (headcount, roles, hours), • Assist Project Managers and Field Operations Team with monitoring and reporting average labor rate across projects, • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives, • Coordinate training, certifications, and apprenticeship development, • Assist in performance tracking and career progression planning, • Ensure all personnel meet licensing and certification requirements Key Competencies: • Experience working within union and non-union trade labor environments, • Knowledge of local labor markets and trade schools, • Familiarity with construction project scheduling and manpower planning, • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams, without direct authority, • Comfortable operating in fast moving, delivery-critical environments with competing priorities, • Clear and Concise communicator, with strong judgment and escalation instincts, • Detail-Oriented, with a high degree of accountability and ownership, • 3–7+ years of experience in electrical construction, staffing, or workforce management, • Strong knowledge of trade electrical roles (foremen, journeymen, apprentices, ect.), • Excellent organizational and communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent training, • Work 40 hours per week and overtime if required, • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs., unassisted, • Job may require repetitive use of arms, hands, and/or fingers for prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting or walking throughout workday, • Must be able to satisfactorily pass and meet security clearance requirements, background checks, and/or other identification processes for client work of particular or confidential nature or as may be required by the company from time to time, • Must comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes, regulations and procedural requirements mandated by work performed that is of a qualified, defined safety sensitive nature, • Valid driver's license and proof of insurability when job duties require use of a motor vehicle, • Exercising of discretion in decision making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to ICON Electric applicants, employees, clients, other industry partners and company proprietary information, • Present professional image of ICON Electric at all times by promoting and exemplifying company's established core values and ethical business principles Why Join Us?
