Job Duties and Responsibilities: In the fresh meat department, employees are responsible for assisting with managing the department’s inventory, stock levels, merchandising and other operation processes to company standards. Meat department employees will ensure high level of customer engagements and satisfaction at all times. You will also will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by wrapping, packaging and cutting the meat and related products. • Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner, • Greets customers and provides them with prompt and courteous service and assistance as needed, • Be knowledgeable in and able to differentiate between all various types of meats and related merchandise including taste, preparation, method of use, and price differences between varieties of similar classes of products (i.e. different types of shrimp, scallops, etc.), • Wraps, weighs and prices all meats and related products processed in the Meat Department, following approved procedures, • Ensures that all meat cuts are properly trimmed and attractively presented, • Ensures that product pricing makes adequate allowances for tare weights and shrink, as applicable, • Takes products to refrigerated storage or shelf area, • Ensures that all displayed shelves are properly stocked and faced at all times according to the product movement, tag allocation, and department standard, • Assists with ordering wrapping supplies for the department (trays, shrink wrap film, labels, etc.), • Rotates products in accordance with all of the department policies and product code dates, • Assists with regularly scheduled inspections of packaged products for freshness and visual appeal, pulling products for re-wrapping as required, • Ensures that all signs and prices are maintained accurately and are correctly positioned over each respective product, • Checks refrigeration equipment regularly for proper temperatures and performance, • Takes care of damaged and spoiled products according to department procedures and takes positive action to control shrinkage and pilferage losses, • Maintains a regular and effective housekeeping and sanitation program that meets the standards established by the department and all applicable health regulations, • Participates in training activities to increase personal skill levels, and to improve overall department processes and customer service, • Meets the physical requirements to perform the job functions listed above, • Possesses extensive knowledge of the meat department and related products, • Receive supplies, organize and maintain inventory, • Dress and groom according to Company policy including uniform, name badge and hat or hair restraint requirements, • Complete all applicable department training programs, • Perform all duties in accordance with all ShopRite Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency), • Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25lbs, • Follow approved procedures for receiving, code-dating, preparing, storing, price-marking, scaling, and restocking products to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation, • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment, • Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with company health and safety standards, • High school diploma or equivalency degree, • Eligible to work in the US., • Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds, • Must be 18 and over, • Ability to perform basic Math, • Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems, • Able to work well with others as a team member, • A passion for serving people

Job Description Works-in-Progress Associates (WPA) is currently seeking a Junior Inspector to join our team! The project involves Design-Build activities to develop, furnish, commission, and install a Laser Intrusion Detection System (LIDS) at 13 under river tube portals and 28 stations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens. The candidate must be flexible regarding work schedule and open to working nights and weekends. Scope of the Work: • Installation laser scanner for the LIDS in the Project’s thirteen (13) under river tubes and twenty-eight (28) stations at both portals and emergency exit shafts at the track level access point. Removal of existing motion detectors and sensors that the laser scanner portion of the LIDS will replace as intrusion detection. Installation of tamper-resistant card readers and internet protocol (IP) intercoms at all approaches outside of the laser scanner’s detection area, to allow MTA employees access without triggering LIDS’s alarm., • Removal of existing analog cameras at some Work Sites to be replaced with IP-cameras, to be connected to new/or existing Network Panels., • Upgrade/replace Access Control Panels (ACP) and Fiber Distribution Panels (FDP), with panels located in the tubes, emergency exit shafts, and at the End of Platform at the twenty-nine (29) stations. The ACP – both new and upgraded – will include equipment for the new LIDS and tamper resistant switches on enclosures and cyber locks. At certain locations, Access Control/Fiber Distribution Panel may be combined in place of 2 separate panels. If difficult to access, panels to be relocated to a maintainable location., • Baccalaureate Degree in engineering/architecture and/or construction related field from an accredited college or university, • 3 years of full-time experience as an inspector in the construction industry, • Background in Electrical Engineering is required., • MTA Track Training Card and PMG123 are required., • OSHA 30 certification is required, • Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends as needed, • A driver's license valid in New York State., • Perform daily inspections to verify that the work is being completed in accordance with the requirements of the Construction Contract Documents., • Prepare Daily Inspection Reports showing the Contractor’s labor force, the location of the construction activities, equipment used, and the actual work being performed. Our Drivers must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner., • Notifies Dispatch or Route Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, potential missed pick-ups or problems that arise on the route., • Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager., • Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris., • Completes and submits customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed., • Positions containers on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set in an upright position, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic., • Work closely with Route Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices., • Attend all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly Safety Meetings, • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, • Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements • The Driver position may be required to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as mount and dismount the truck multiple times every route., • Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather., • Drivers must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the duration of the workday. Requirements and Qualifications::, • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States., • All Drivers must have a valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement, and a clean driving record., • At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL A or B, within the last 7 years. Experience as a Driver or Helper for a refuse company is highly preferred., • At least 1 year of experience driving and operating a Roll Off Truck, • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations., • Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records., • Must be able to read and understand a map, • Must be able to meet the physical and safety requirements of the position.
