Newsweek Recognizes Sedgwick as America's Greatest Workplaces National Top Companies Certified as a Great Place to Work Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance SVP Casualty Operations Enablement PRIMARY PURPOSE : The Senior Vice President, Casualty Operations Enablement serves as a senior operational leader and strategic partner to the President of Casualty, with accountability for strengthening execution, alignment, and operational discipline across the Casualty organization. This role is responsible for translating Casualty strategy into scalable execution, enabling leadership effectiveness, and ensuring consistent performance management across a large, geographically dispersed operation. The role works closely with SVPs, Managing Directors, and functional leaders to drive outcomes across service delivery, colleague experience, and financial performance. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong business acumen, operational credibility, and the ability to influence at scale. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Executive Partnership & Operational Leadership * Serves as a operational thought partner on the execution of business performance, execution priorities, and organizational effectiveness. * Supports the President in setting clear priorities, reinforcing accountability, and driving focus across the Casualty leadership team. * Acts as an extension of the President in advancing key operational initiatives and leadership commitments. Strategy Execution & Enterprise-Scale Program Leadership * Leads and oversees high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that support Casualty's strategic priorities, including operational excellence, service delivery, colleague retention, and scalability. * Ensures initiatives are well-governed, appropriately resourced, and executed with rigor across regions and lines of business. * Identifies execution risks, interdependencies, and capacity constraints, bringing forward recommendations to senior leadership. Performance Management & Business Cadence * Owns the Casualty leadership operating cadence, including preparation and follow-through for operating reviews, performance forums, and leadership meetings. * Partners with Finance, Operations, CR and IT to ensure consistent performance reporting, KPI discipline, and insight-driven decision-making. * Drives clarity on goals, metrics, and outcomes across the Casualty organization. Cross-Functional Enablement * Works closely with Operations, Client Services, Finance, CR, IT, Learning & Development, and other enabling functions to ensure alignment and execution of Casualty priorities. * Supports large-scale change initiatives by reinforcing adoption, readiness, and sustained behavior change across leadership teams. * Serves as a connector across senior leaders to reduce friction, improve speed to execution, and enhance collaboration. Communication & Leadership Effectiveness * Elevates the quality, clarity, and consistency of communication across the Casualty leadership team. * Ensures decisions, actions, and expectations are clearly articulated and reinforced across the organization. * Coaches and support leaders in driving disciplined execution and accountability within their areas. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs other duties as assigned. * Travels as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance. * Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations. * Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, or a related field from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree in Business Administration or advanced degree in a related field, highly preferred. Experience Ten (10+) years of related experience to include progressive leadership experience in operations, strategy, consulting, or large-scale program leadership within insurance, financial services, or similarly complex organizations or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Demonstrated experience operating at a senior leadership or SVP-adjacent level, partnering with executive leaders and influencing across large, matrixed teams. Experience in claims, insurance operations, or professional services strongly preferred. Skills & Knowledge * Strong understanding of operational performance management, service delivery, and scaling complex organizations * Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect strategy to measurable outcomes * Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities * Executive-level communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues into clear, actionable narratives * High emotional intelligence and credibility with senior leaders * Results-oriented, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in ambiguity * Collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a strong bias toward execution * Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills * PC literate, including Microsoft Office products * Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports * Ability to work in a team environment * Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies WORK ENVIRONMENT When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
