Job DescriptionJob Title: Housekeeper Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of linens in a hospital setting. Your day will begin by collecting dirty linens and loading them onto a truck for cleaning. Once the clean linens are received, you will place them into the department's storage room, stock your cart, and ensure the hospital floors' storage closets are adequately supplied. Responsibilities • Collect and load dirty linens for cleaning., • Unload and store clean linens in the linens department., • Stock linens carts and deliver to hospital floors, maintaining par levels., • Track the location, amount, and types of linens at each delivery point., • Enter inventory data using an iPad, scanning bins as they are processed., • Distribute linens to designated floors and restock closet locations, especially on the 9th floor., • Work independently and efficiently throughout the day.Essential Skills, • Experience in stocking, housekeeping, and custodial duties., • Ability to perform general labor tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Ability to stand for 8 hours during a shift., • Personable nature for interacting with hospital staff., • Comfortable using an iPad for data entry.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are from 5am to 1:30pm, with a rotating weekend schedule. The role is based in the hospital's linen department located in the basement, requiring substantial physical activity such as pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the hospital. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
