Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler ships and receives aircraft parts, materials, cores, and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records in the computer system. This role verifies incoming and outgoing items for damage, compliance with regulations, and proper documentation, and supports inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and storage organization at a warehouse facility located at Van Nuys Airport. Responsibilities • Ship and receive parts, materials, cores, and equipment in a timely and accurate manner., • Replenish inventory and update all related information in the computer system., • Inspect incoming and outgoing packages to ensure there is no visible damage., • Verify that all received items comply with applicable federal regulations and company policies., • Confirm that documentation and traceability requirements are met, including part number, serial number, and shelf-life information., • Perform shelf-life audits to ensure materials remain within acceptable usage dates., • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels., • Build, adjust, or relocate shelving and storage areas to optimize space and organization., • Handle parts and materials with care to prevent damage and maintain quality standards., • Provide courteous and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders., • Use computer systems and software to track inventory, process transactions, and generate reports as needed.Essential Skills, • 1–2 years of experience working in an inventory department or warehouse environment., • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes for parts and materials., • Proficiency with computer systems for inventory tracking and data entry., • Strong customer service skills when interacting with internal and external customers., • Excellent attention to detail when verifying part numbers, serial numbers, and documentation., • Ability to perform cycle counts and support accurate inventory control., • Verifiable high school diploma, with proof of diploma or transcripts required during onboarding.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working with parts, materials, and stocking in a warehouse setting., • Familiarity with handling and storing items with specific shelf-life requirements., • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with quality and compliance standards., • Ability to organize and rearrange shelving and storage systems to improve efficiency.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based indoors in a warehouse facility at Van Nuys Airport. The dress code consists of a T-shirt, work pants, and closed-toe shoes, suitable for an active warehouse environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.75 - $23.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
