Job Description Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling high-speed turbo motors, generators, and turbomachinery equipment for aerospace and defense applications. You will build high-precision electromechanical assemblies, perform sub-assembly and full system testing, and ensure all work meets detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications. The position requires strong attention to detail, steady hands for fine work, and the ability to follow technical documentation accurately in a production environment. Responsibilities • Assemble high-speed turbo motors, generators, and turbomachinery equipment in accordance with detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for aerospace and defense applications., • Build high-precision coil windings, sensors, and electric motor components and sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and techniques., • Perform soldering of fine wiring to create reliable electrical connections that meet quality and industry standards., • Encapsulate electrical assemblies to protect components and ensure long-term reliability and performance., • Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, process routers, and written work instructions to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently., • Work on prototype, engineering, and production hardware using sketches, notes, and verbal instructions when formal documentation is limited., • Use fine precision tools, fixtures, and testing apparatus to assemble and verify electromechanical components and systems., • Perform sub-assembly and full system-level testing to confirm functionality and adherence to specifications., • Support mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks on an assembly line, including crimping, mechanical fastening, and alignment of components., • Collaborate with team members in a dedicated mechanical assembly department to meet production goals and maintain high quality standards., • Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and compliance with manufacturing floor guidelines. Essential Skills • 3–5 years of experience assembling electrical parts in a production environment., • J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent, demonstrating proficiency in electronic assembly and soldering standards., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly instructions, process routers, and work instructions., • Hands-on experience with electronic assembly, including soldering fine wiring and working with magnetic and high-speed motor components., • Manual dexterity and steady hand coordination to work with fine precision tools and small components., • Ability to use precision tools, fixtures, and testing apparatus to assemble and verify electromechanical assemblies., • Experience with mechanical and electromechanical assembly, including crimping, assembly line work, and working with turbo machinery and high-speed motors., • Capability to follow detailed technical documentation and consistently produce high-quality assemblies., • Comfort working in a structured production environment with defined processes and quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience assembling electromechanical systems in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries., • Experience in working on prototype and engineering builds, adapting to sketches and verbal instructions when needed., • Familiarity with coil winding, sensor assembly, and encapsulation processes for electrical assemblies., • Ability to work effectively in a team-based department of mechanical and electromechanical assemblers., • Strong attention to detail and quality, with a focus on meeting or exceeding industry and internal standards., • Willingness to work a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility with approximately 120 employees, within a mechanical assembly department of about 20 people. You will work primarily on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. The environment combines both sitting and standing tasks depending on the assembly line and specific workstations. You will work around typical manufacturing conditions, including exposure to glue odors and other standard production materials. The position requires the use of steel-toed or safety shoes and adherence to all safety and personal protective equipment requirements. You will regularly use precision tools, fixtures, and testing equipment while working on electromechanical assemblies in a structured, process-driven setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cypress, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
