Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler I Job Description The Assembler I performs electro-mechanical assembly and clean room device assembly and packaging in a regulated medical device production environment. This role requires strong manual assembly skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality work while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team. Responsibilities • Perform electro-mechanical assembly and clean room device assembly and packaging in accordance with documented procedures., • Support organizational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable medical device quality standards., • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), departmental procedures (DOPs), quality assurance requirements, and all safety and environmental standards., • Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures written in English, and follow them accurately during production., • Use basic hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices to assemble and verify components., • Operate electrical and mechanical equipment as required and accurately interpret test and inspection results., • Monitor personal work output to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and consistent product quality, promptly identifying and reporting issues related to tooling, materials, processes, or quality., • Learn new equipment, processes, and procedures and quickly demonstrate proficiency in their operation., • Work with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity, quality, and compliance with all relevant standards., • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a cross-functional team environment, building and maintaining professional working relationships with staff, clients, and suppliers., • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate active listening to ensure effective coordination and problem solving., • Use computer systems and various software programs to transact product within the production system and complete required online training., • Practice and advocate safe work habits at all times, maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area., • Participate in cross-training across multiple departments, including packaging, production, and cleanroom operations, and perform repetitive tasks with consistent focus and accuracy.Essential Skills, • At least 1 year of medical device assembly experience., • Diploma or equivalent education., • Proven manual hand assembly skills in a production environment., • Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled production environment., • Ability to use basic hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments., • Ability to operate electrical and mechanical equipment and accurately interpret results., • Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect issues related to tooling, materials, processes, and quality., • Ability to read, interpret, and learn engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, and inspection procedures written in English., • Ability to work well with others in a cross-functional team environment., • Capability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and productivity., • Proficiency using a computer and various programs to transact product within the production system and complete online training., • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills., • Ability to demonstrate active listening and respond clearly and professionally., • Commitment to following safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly is an asset., • Familiarity with medical device quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices., • Experience working under microscopes for detailed assembly or inspection., • Comfort working in a highly regulated environment with documented procedures., • Ability to adapt quickly to new equipment, processes, and departmental cross-training., • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a production setting.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is on a 4th shift schedule, working Friday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with three 12-hour shifts each week. The first workday typically starts on a Friday afternoon. The role is based in a cleanroom and production environment, with a mix of sitting and standing throughout the shift. You will be cross-trained in multiple departments, including packaging, production, and cleanroom operations, with approximately two weeks of training in each area. The work is highly repetitive and process-driven, requiring consistent focus, adherence to documented procedures, and comfort working with cleanroom protocols and production equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.33 - $20.33/hr.
