We are looking for a 3D Print & Wax Technician Assistant to support our jewelry production workflow, specifically in wax printing, handling, and prep for casting. Role Overview The 3D Print & Wax Technician Assistant will support daily operations related to wax 3D printing, post-processing, and production coordination. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, hands-on, and interested in jewelry manufacturing and 3D printing technologies. You will work closely with senior technicians, designers, and production managers to ensure smooth output from digital design → wax print → casting prep. Key Responsibilities 3D Printing & Wax Handling • Assist with operating wax 3D printers (setup, start jobs, monitor prints), • Remove, clean, and post-process wax prints carefully, • Inspect wax models for defects (cracks, layer issues, incomplete prints), • Label, organize, and track wax models for casting Production Support • Prepare waxes for casting (spruing support, storage, handling), • Maintain cleanliness and organization of print and wax stations, • Assist with printer maintenance (resin/wax refills, cleaning, basic troubleshooting), • Track daily print jobs and report issues to senior technicians Quality Control • Ensure wax models meet quality standards before casting, • Follow proper handling techniques to avoid breakage or distortion, • Communicate print or design issues promptly Documentation & Workflow • Log print jobs, failures, and reprints, • Help maintain production schedules and timelines, • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines Required Qualifications • High attention to detail and steady hands, • Comfortable working with small, delicate components, • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on work, • Willingness to learn jewelry production processes, • Reliable, organized, and punctual Preferred (Nice to Have) • Experience with 3D printers (wax or resin), • Jewelry manufacturing or casting experience, • Familiarity with CAD files or design workflows, • Experience working in production, manufacturing, or lab environments What We Offer • Hands-on training in luxury jewelry production, • Exposure to advanced 3D printing and casting workflows, • Growth opportunities within TraxNYC production team, • Fast-paced, creative, and collaborative work environment Work Environment • On-site production facility, • Jewelry workshop with specialized equipment Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits: • Employee discount Company DescriptionAbout Us: TraxNYC Jewelry is a leading name in the jewelry industry, renowned for our unique designs and unparalleled quality.
