Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/13/2025, • Duration: 16 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Cath Lab Facility: University of Maryland Medical Center - Downtown Location: 22 S Greene St, Baltimore, MD 21201 Start Date: October 13, 2025 (Firm) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) Schedule: Call 1 day per week, 1 weekend per month required Unit: Cardiac Invasive RN – 2010-30154 Rooms: 4 Daily Census: Approx. 15 Patient Age Group: Adults Position Overview: Provide expert nursing care in a high-volume cardiac cath lab with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in complex cardiac catheterizations, managing invasive devices, and administering specialized medications. This role requires comfort in a fast-paced environment with advanced cardiac procedures and support devices. Certifications Required: • BLS (AHA), • ACLS (AHA), • CPI* (preferred)Experience Required:, • Minimum 2 years cardiac cath lab experience required (3 years preferred), • Community hospital experience required, • Teaching hospital experience preferred Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures: ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, stent placements, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, interventional catheterizations, left/right heart cath, pacemaker/defibrillator lead removal, PCI, pulmonary artery line monitoring, rotablator atherectomy, TAVI/TAVR, valvuloplasty, ventricular assist device insertion, Watchman procedure IV Therapy: Assist with central line insertion/management, starting IVs Professional Knowledge & Skills: Circulate procedures, hypothermia protocols, infection prevention, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, isolation precautions, laser-assisted procedures, procedural sedation monitoring, ventilator monitoring Scheduling & Floating: • Call 1 day per week required, • 1 weekend of call per month required, • 1 pre-approved time off request allowed Special Procedures: Right and left heart catheterization, PCI, chronic total occlusion (CTO), pericardiocentesis, septostomy, TAVR, MitraClip, TriClip, IABP & Impella placement, ECMO placement, coronary thrombectomy Special Equipment: Impella console, IABP console, Shockwave, Boston Scientific IVUS/FFR/DFR, Acist, MedRad, Rotablader, Pneumbra, various coronary wires, stents, and balloons About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
