About the Position Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, the Outreach and Communications Coordinator supports the implementation of outreach, marketing, and communications activities that strengthen CFC’s visibility, community engagement, and partnerships. The Coordinator develops bilingual content for digital and print platforms, manages community outreach efforts, and assists with events, media relations, and special projects dedicated to advancing the agency’s community awareness and impact. This position plays an important role in building public awareness, promoting events, campaigns, and programs, and ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all communications channels. Primary Responsibilities Outreach and Community Engagement • Support the External Affairs Director with the development and implementation of outreach initiatives to promote agency programs, services, and events., • Coordinate and participate in community outreach activities, tabling events, and partnership activities to strengthen CFC’s presence and outreach goals across the service area., • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, local partners, and community organizations to advance outreach goals through marketing materials and event participation., • Maintain and oversee outreach materials and supplies, including organizing inventory, tracking usage across the Programs team, and coordinating production and restock needs., • Draft and schedule published content for newsletters, social media, and outreach materials., • Support media relations and storytelling projects, including video production, earned media, and press coverage., • Support end-to-end coordination for video and content production projects, including identifying participants, scheduling interviews, and preparing all necessary materials., • Serve as the primary liaison with production by managing timelines, communicating edits, and ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule., • Support the planning and implementation of events, campaigns, and agency-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational requirements., • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred., • Two or more years of experience in outreach, communications, or public relations., • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms, including content creation, curation, and online community engagement., • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear and compelling content., • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, with excellent oral and written communication skills., • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and content management systems., • Basic design skills with the ability to create and modify materials using user-friendly design platforms and templates such as Canva., • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with staff, partners, and community members., • Typical office environment., • Eligible for hybrid or telework flexibility after introductory period., • Must have reliable transportation for local meetings and events., • Occasional evening or weekend availability required for community events or outreach activities., • Ability to lift, carry, and transport outreach materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
