construction inspection services for company, its affiliates and external customers, • Monitors adherence to contract terms, • Utilizes knowledge and experience in own discipline while still building higher-level knowledge and skills, • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues, • Provides construction management, contract adherence and inspection services, • Gathers construction information by traveling independently to various locations to directly observe sitesPrimary Responsibilities, • Develops and maintains a written quality assurance program, • Provides technical assistance and information to company engineers, managers, and other personnel in planning, scheduling and preparing cost estimates for various construction or project field activities, • Reads and interprets construction drawings and specifications, • Monitors adherence to contract drawings and specifications through coordinating communications among various work groups, • Inspects and documents installation work performed, • Makes decisions to either accept or reject completed installations, • Specifies deficient items which require additional work in order to comply with specifications and contract provisions, • Develops and delivers performance and activity reports to management, • Documents changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and record keeping practices, • Documents work into logs, files, system prints and other records and through communications, both oral and written, with other team members and supervisors, • Conducts field engineering, surveying and construction layout staking for projects as neededAdditional Duties Statement, • This general overview only includes job-related duties requested by supervisor or managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, • Six or more years of experience in construction trades, industrial maintenance, or construction project management, • Includes experience monitoring contract labor and projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications, building codes and safety regulations, • A degree in construction, industrial maintenance, project management or relevant field may be substituted per company guidelines for certain years of experience, • Knowledge of construction standards, • Knowledge of project management methods and concepts, • Knowledge of budgeting and cost management, • Knowledge of engineering principles, • Knowledge in the assembly and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment, including high voltage as applicable, • Knowledge of materials and tools used in construction and maintenance, including high voltage as applicable, • Knowledge of electrical circuit theory, • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code or National Electrical Safety Code, • Knowledge of construction related safety principles and practicesSkills, • Skill in construction inspection, • Skill in contract management, • Skill in using work management systems, • Skill in analyzing and solving complex technical problems, • Advanced skill in reading and interpreting diagrams and prints, • Skill in verbal weather conditions, • Work involves traveling and lodging out of town, • Work involves callout as necessary, • Works in close proximity to energized high voltage electrical equipment, • Work involves
