Work Flexibility: We, like many employers, have worked in a hybrid schedule since 2022 and now have returned to the office 100% (5 days a week). That said, we do understand and recognize the importance of work/life balance and flexibility for our workforce. Some flexible options consist of: • Alternate Work Schedule; 1 or 2 days off a pay period by working an extra 1- 2 hours a day, • Ad Hoc Remote Work (Temporary); manager approved; 75 hours granted annually; 10 hours granted per pay period (use it or lose it - don’t roll over) work from home due to contractor at house, daycare closed, car issue, doctor appointment etc. The Application Developer - Salesforce Administrator, works under limited supervision performing is responsible for providing ongoing support, maintenance and configuration for the INPRS instances of the Salesforce platform. Duties include installing applications, adding objects and fields; data management; support functions; data analysis; creating data standards and auditing for data quality; sustaining user adoption and training on the system. Essential Duties: • Designs, codes, tests, and debugs new and existing application software programs, • Assists in preparing user requirements, functional design, physical design and other relevant system design components., • Assists in research, fact-finding and analyzing user needs and problems required to develop and maintain information systems., • Assists in the development of project cost and time estimates., • Execute tasks in conformance of development techniques, standards, policies and procedures., • Provides complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs., • Monitors completed application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance., • Promotes the goals and objectives of the IT Department., • Monitors the health and wellbeing of the Salesforce environment., • Working knowledge of information systems design principles and new systems design techniques;, • Considerable knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development;, • Technical aptitude and solid understanding of programming concepts., • Ability to perform problem solving and analytical analysis;, • Considerable knowledge of application development software tools and application development software languages;, • Working knowledge of the most recent advancement of information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities;, • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure and application interfaces, database concepts, and general IT concepts (e.g. virtualization, cloud computing, platforms)., • Ability to work independently under general direction;, • Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others;, • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing., • A commitment to continuous professional development., • A high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail., • The ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities., • Flexibility to work as needed outside of traditional business hours when required., • Bachelor’s and/or associate’s degree preferred., • 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience preferred., • Salesforce Certified Administrator I and II are required., • Salesforce Certified Developer I and II preferred., • Public Sector Solutions, Preferred., • Lightning and Services Cloud, OmniStudio Developer experience preferred., • Understanding of relational databases and data integration tools, • Experience with standard Salesforce configuration: objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, and workflows., • Proficiency in user management: roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules, • Strong experience with automation tools: Flow (record-triggered, scheduled, screen) and Approval Processes, • Ability to create and maintain custom reports and dashboards., • Familiarity with Salesforce security best practices, data visibility, and field-level security., • Experience working with sandbox environments and deploying changes using Copado., • Understanding of data management practices including data import/export (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard), • Basic SOQL and Apex for admin-level troubleshooting or collaboration with developers (Req.), • Competitive compensation, • Flexible Work Schedule, • Healthcare coverage (medical / dental / vision), • Health savings account with employer contribution, • Prescription coverage, • Employer funded retirement plan (pension plan), • Deferred compensation plan (employer and/or employee contribution plan), • Flexible spending account, • Work/life balance (37.5 hours weekly), • 12 paid holidays; 14 during election year, • Paid leave (personal, sick, vacation), • Tuition reimbursement, • Professional credential reimbursement, • Group life insurance Equal Employment Opportunity: The Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to recruit, select, develop, and promote employees based on individual ability and job performance.
