This is a banking position \n \n The VP Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer, operating in an executive advisory and "Adjunto" (Chief of Staff) capacity to help translate executive priorities into actionable business strategies and measurable results. \n \n This high-visibility role supports strategic planning and execution across the international banking division, with a focus on financial and data analysis, cross-border banking, wealth management, operational efficiency, performance management, and enterprise-wide initiatives. \n \n The VP Business Analyst works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional departments to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategic recommendations, and support the implementation of key initiatives. The role requires strong financial analysis, business intelligence, market research, project coordination, and executive communication skills. \n \n The ideal candidate will have significant experience in international or cross-border banking and wealth management, along with the analytical ability and executive presence to work directly with senior leadership. \n \n Job Responsibilities \n\n • Serve as a strategic liaison between the CEO, senior leadership, Head Office, and cross-functional departments.\n, • Translate executive priorities and strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, goals, and execution plans.\n, • Support the CEO in evaluating business performance, strategic opportunities, operational challenges, and organizational priorities.\n, • Coordinate strategic initiatives from planning through implementation and performance evaluation.\n, • Develop and monitor KPIs and performance objectives across the international banking division.\n, • Support Balanced Scorecard and performance management initiatives by consolidating and analyzing business metrics.\n, • Prepare executive-level reports, analysis, recommendations, and presentations to support strategic decision-making.\n, • Analyze financial performance, budgets, forecasts, actual results, and business trends to identify opportunities and risks.\n, • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic planning and business decisions.\n, • Partner with Finance, Data Governance, MIS, and other departments to validate data and improve management reporting.\n, • Analyze complex financial, operational, and business data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.\n, • Develop reporting and analytical materials related to international portfolios, lending, wealth management, client activity, and other strategic areas.\n, • Support predictive analytics, client segmentation, and other data-driven initiatives.\n, • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and business risks.\n, • Support strategic initiatives involving international and cross-border banking activities.\n, • Analyze multi-jurisdictional business models, client relationships, products, and operational requirements.\n, • Evaluate opportunities to improve cross-border banking processes, client experiences, and operational efficiency.\n, • Support initiatives involving international banking products, foreign exchange, cross-border capital flows, and related financial services.\n, • Support strategic analysis across wealth management products, services, and client processes.\n, • Evaluate opportunities to improve the integration of wealth management products and services across the client lifecycle.\n, • Analyze client and market data to identify opportunities for product development, client segmentation, and relationship growth.\n, • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and execution across the international banking division.\n, • Review business processes and operating procedures to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.\n, • Develop recommendations to improve workflows, reduce operational friction, and enhance service delivery.\n, • Work with Department Heads and cross-functional teams to implement approved process improvements.\n, • Serve as a liaison between business users, management, and technical or operational teams on assigned initiatives.\n, • Analyze the international client journey and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and client satisfaction.\n, • Evaluate customer experience metrics and feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\n, • Prepare sophisticated PowerPoint presentations, executive reports, financial analyses, and strategic materials for senior leadership and Head Office.\n, • Consolidate complex financial, operational, and business information into clear executive-level recommendations.\n, • Present strategic and analytical findings to senior executives and other stakeholders.\n, • Participate in senior leadership and global strategy meetings and support follow-through on strategic priorities.\n, • Handle urgent and time-sensitive analytical requests requiring rapid assessment and executive-level reporting.\n, • Monitor international banking, wealth management, competitive, and industry developments relevant to the Bank's strategic objectives.\n, • Perform additional strategic projects and responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.\n\n \n Qualifications \n\n • 7+ years of progressive experience in international banking, cross-border banking, private banking, wealth management, or a global financial institution.\n, • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.\n, • Strong understanding of international and cross-border banking and wealth management.\n, • Demonstrated knowledge of wealth management products and related front-to-back business processes.\n, • Advanced financial analysis and financial modeling skills.\n, • Experience with strategic planning, business analysis, process improvement, and enterprise-level initiatives.\n, • Experience developing executive-level reports, presentations, financial analyses, and performance dashboards.\n, • Strong understanding of KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and business performance management.\n, • Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis.\n, • Ability to analyze complex financial, operational, and business data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.\n, • Ability to work effectively across Finance, Operations, Technology, Data, Wealth Management, and other business functions.\n, • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n, • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills.\n, • Ability to present complex financial and strategic concepts to senior executives and other stakeholders.\n, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with Word, Google Workspace, and banking applications.\n, • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, required.\n
